The game is a toss-up. Winner gets nothing more than the opportunity to practice for one more week before turning their attention to basketball.

Sorry for the jab. Seriously though I would think that most important are the state championship banners, though once you have a good deal of them beating the regional schools like Elder is a nice feather in the cap.

I think Cincy X wins at home by at least 2 TDs. This game - from a playoff standpoint - means more to them. Lou X doesn't want to show off anything that they will need in wk 3 of the playoffs. Also, keeping people healthy for Lou X is much more important than a "W" or an "L".

How in the world is there not more buzz about this game?! One of the oldest rivalries of any sport at any level! T and X are OFF this week. Each school has probably 20,000 living alumni. And there hasn't been a post on this thread in 3 days?! My grandfather played for H in the 30s when this game DOMINATED the C-J. It deserves more.

I had a crush on a Briarjumper in high school, so I am going with Somerset. Also, every time I have been to Somerset the folks there as as nice as anywhere I have found in KY. No offense to Middlesboro; I have never been there. :idunno:

Seriously T & X each have a home game first round; if they advance then T would be at home in round 2 & X would be at home only if the #1 from the other district is eliminated by M or H (very possible); T & X could meet at the Pizza Box in round 3
