Lou X comes in 6-3, while Cincy X comes in 5-3 with one of those wins being against Moeller who beat X at home by 7 this year. Lou X beat Cincy X 7-3 last season at home, will Cincy X avenge the defeat? Who wins and why?

I still think the Tigers are way to one dimensional and you can't beat a team like the Bombers like that.

The tigers played the same style ball last year as a matter of fact passed the ball less, and beat Cincy X. Also since the T game, Lou X has been becoming more balanced.

My only point of reference is the Trinity game and I felt that in that game X was more anemic offensively then they were last year because Gahafer isn't the running threat Mattingly was. You solicited opinions, I gave one. Don't be offended if it's not what you want to hear.

Respectable. But against Cincy X last year, Mattingly wasn't a good point of emphasis. He wouldn't throw the ball and continuously got sacked.

The Tigers are still a very run oriented team and as such don't have the pass route timing or complexity that a more pass oriented team has. While I don't feel the Bombers have the overall team speed they used to have they still have very good cover guys. They will be able to control the Tiger passing game. The Tigers can run the ball but they won't overpower the Bombers up front like they do other non-Trinity teams. I just don't see the Tigers being very effective.

I think Cincy X wins at home by at least 2 TDs. This game - from a playoff standpoint - means more to them. Lou X doesn't want to show off anything that they will need in wk 3 of the playoffs. Also, keeping people healthy for Lou X is much more important than a "W" or an "L".

You'd be surprised by Lou X views the games vs Cincy X.

I think I know what you mean: as in this is the #2 rivalry for them - Xaverians vs. Xavierians?

AvidTiger, We agree on this one. No Doubt with this being Coach G's last regular season game & Cincy X being their biggest Foe, Next To Trinity. this will be a big big Game for both. If Cincy X upset St Iggy today than I can see Lou X getting Cincy X in a close one. But if Cincy X loses today, then they will come out super ready to play as them making the playoffs will be on the line.

Exactly. And FloridaBoy#2 they feel this way every year about Cincy X; not just this year but i think this year's situation adds a little more fuel.

Cincy X plays Ignatius today. Should they lose they will be in "must win" mode against Lou X just to get the 8th and final spot.

When do they play(time) and is it televised?

From watching a little of Cincy X in the past they aren't that much different than the Tigers from a philosophy stand point. Control style of offense and win the field position battle with great defense and special team play. While Cincy X plays out of the spread, they're still a run first team.

There is something about this Tiger team that makes me think that they're going to do something special this year. I believe they're going to go up to Cincy X and pull off a victory and that confidence will propel them into the playoffs. I believe there will be no, "play hard, but lets not get anyone hurt", they're going to go up there with every intention on knocking off the Bombers.

Tigers - 24

Bombers - 21
