Who wins and why?

If the Birds can contain Elder's run game I believe they can win. They will also need to do a better job on special teams. This has been the worst special teams that I can remember in Ft.Thomas. GO BIRDS!!!

On paper I say Elder will win but I can't count the Birds out. In 2009 I thought Highlands would be destroyed by Cincy X. & Highlands put X away. So I can't count The birds out in this one.

I suspect Dale will make some changes in the kickoff team this week and in anticipation of the 4A playoffs. After last night, I think they've given up 5 or 6 long kickoff returns for TDs.

 

Look for JC Mettens to play a key role this week as HHS may be forced to punt more than usual. If HHS can slow down Elder's run attack, HHS can make it 2 in a row over the Panthers. Highlands 27 Elder 22.

Agree with Horst abt the changes in the kickoff team, but that will be up to Coach Weinrich as kick & punt coverages are defensive plays...Go Birds Go!

That's a loaded schedule and I mean loaded. They will have seen anything Highlands throws at them.

Not often that Highlands is the breather in a schedule.
