Can't make an educated guess here. Teams like McCraken, Meade and Butler went deep in the playoffs last year and I have NO idea what expectations are for these teams. I know Male was young and graduated very little. They have to be a prohibitive favorite in 6A. Trinity will always be there.

 

We did hear from some St. X players at camps that expectations are not high for them this year. So with reasonable confidence, I could list Male, Trinity and Scott County. After that, it would strictly be a WAG.

 

Can any the fan bases from the teams out west weigh in? I know the Mayfield folks were high on McCraken last year.

I'd like to see them go to the top of 6A, but can they realistically be considered a top team in 6A until they can beat the two best small schools out west? We'll know a lot more about them if they can get by Tilghman and Mayfield (do they play them) early this season.

Their 2 losses to Mayfield and PT were early in the season last year and their 1st 2 games ever. They have a big athletic line and one of the best athletes in the state in Hughs. They were getting better and better as the season wore on. They are the real deal.

Good, I'm looking forward to seeing how they progress. Maybe they can copy what Collins did in just a few short years.

Right now mine are Male, Trinity, Scott County, X, and other. Don't know very much about Simon Kenton since no one on this site ever talks about them. LOL
