It's a scrimmage I understand, but for the past three years, St. X has shown SK why they shouldn't be in the conversation each and every season right off the bat.

 

Coaches look to get different things from scrimmages. Some try to 'win', some try to get snaps for their back up guys to increase depth and some try to work on fundamentals while not showing their hand to a potential playoff team. Not saying X hasn't been better than SK, just that 'winning' a scrimmage hasn't been the priority at SK. We're learning to win in November, when it counts.

Meade does have SOME pieces back -- Addessa (TE-FB/LB-DE), Kaiser (RB/LB), Robey (OL/DL), Stegner (TE/LB), Wilson (QB/DB -- but lost MOST of its stat guys. Not a whole lot of returning rushing yardage, TDs, receiving yards.

 

Meade also lost its defensive coordinator, Tim Mattingly, who took the Central Hardin job (after Perry left Central Hardin for Lexington Catholic).

 

Meade, like most years, will be solid. Could start slow. Always dangerous at the end of the year.

 

Not so sure Meade is top-five.

 

Another team to look out for is Central Hardin. Defense should be way improved with Mattingly.

 

Most every single skill position is back. Remember, CH beat Collins last year (who beat Highlands) and also beat McCracken AT McCracken in the playoffs.

 

This year, McCracken would have to make the long trek to Cecilia.

 

Have to agree with this. Central Hardin will be very good the next two years. My only question is they are probably going from the spread offense to the Wing-T with the new Head Coach so that may take time to get used to.
