Boyle/Danville-Intense rivalry that you really only know by being part of it. Just curious to hear a few others and why?

I think most counties have intense Cross-Town Rivalries...but when both teams are at or near the top of the Region is when those are at the best!

Throw out the record books when Fulton City and Fulton County play.

Holmes v. Holy Cross and Holmes vs. CovCath basketball have been crazy intense for years. SK vs. Scott/Walton Verona.

Boyle County/Danville and Bowling Green/Warren Central are the two most intense rivalries I have been around. Mainly because the hate extends beyond athletics.

These are the games that I love watching. I will be able to use this info and travel to check some of these in person. They are easier to watch when I don't have a dog in the fight. I love it!

Augusta - Bracken County

Brossart - Campbell County - Scott

Clark County - Montgomery County

Bourbon County - Paris

Fleming County - Mason County

Ashland - Boyd County - Russell

 

Back in the day when MSU had the Breck training school; they and Rowan County got into some wild and wooly ones.

Scott County and Lexington Catholic would be high on my list of must-see games.

Knott and Perry is really intense also. The mountain teams go at it.

Yep. Had a roommate at Morehead from Omaha, KY in Knott County. Even played a pickup game with him in (I think) the Upper Carr Community Center. They're serious about their hoops in SEKY.

 

And always get a vocal following at Rupp.

The other Hardin Co. schools loathe E'town.
