Sadly, these are not the rivalries they should be.

Augusta / Bracken is one of the biggest rivalries in the 10th region. Although they are both small schools and for the most part not in the race for the 10th region crown, when these two lock horns the gym is always packed and it's just an awesome basketball atmosphere.

As a Knott fan, there is NO rivalry in the 14th like Hazard and Perry

Here the last few years Augusta / Mason Co. has been a good one as well.

Not as high profile, but I love making it in to watch East Carter play West Carter in anything!

Those people just don't like each other. I've heard lots of good stories out of this one.

South Laurel and Corbin

Harrison and Bourbon used to be a good rivalry until they changed districts.

I think most counties have intense Cross-Town Rivalries...but when both teams are at or near the top of the Region is when those are at the best!

In the 10th Region I would rank Brossart/Campbell #1. Montgomery/GRC would be #2.

If I've learned anything in following the teams fairly closely over the last few years, it's this: it is hard to get people in Louisville's East End too worked up about much of anything. That said, in the Seventh Region, Male/Manual, Ballard/Eastern, and Trinity/St. Xavier do tend to bring out the students big time when they get together.

Pendleton County-Harrison county is developing into a good basketball rivalry.

 

Harrison County was much better last year, but normally their inevitable matchup in the first round of the 38th district tournament is an absolute battle.

T/X and M/H are no-brainers in general, but basketball plays second fiddle to football for these schools.

 

However, over the past few years I cannot imagine a much more intense basketball game than those we've seen with T & Ballard. Located just a couple of miles from each other and often ranked #1 & #2 in the state. These recent match-ups have been crazy intense.
