In the 10th Region I would rank Brossart/Campbell #1. Montgomery/GRC would be #2.

 

Never been to a Brossart/Campbell Co game, but have witnessed first hand MANY GRC/MoCo games in Boys and Girls B-ball, volleyball and football. Would be hard to find a rivalries more intense than these 2.

I went to my first one this past year. Intense.

Sadly, these are not the rivalries they should be.

 

Boone/Ryle is pretty intense. However, both programs have been more down than usual as of late, but they'll be back.

The game I went to had just your normal JV & Varsity contests.

 

I believe they always hold it at Campbell County Middle School, which is a larger venue than CCHS & certainly larger than Brossart. It was a packed house on an incredibly cold January night, but the atmosphere was electric.

Cov. Cath. - Highlands. (Over the past 10 years, the basketball rivalry has been every bit as good as the football rivalry.)

With only a few exceptions, the football games have been hard to sit through over the past several years. With only a few exceptions, the basketball games have been much more competitive.

The other Hardin Co. schools loathe E'town.

 

And each other.

It will be hard choosing which games to check out!!

Owen and Gallatin has been a huge rivalry since 2006. Both schools have had good success and are usually the top two "A" schools in the 8th.

X and T put 35000 in the seats for fb and3 to5 f or bb. Baseball is played at UL or Slugger Field. None bigger in the state.

The Campbell/Brossart game is always intense. Big build up from both sides. Campbell County Middle School is the venue for this match up, as Randy Parker mentioned. It's the biggest Gym in Campbell County. They use the large crowds for good as well. Adding a $1.00 to the admission price that goes towards scholarships, and a canned food drive. It's always great,..... unless Brossart wins, :thumb:

In the 11th, Henry Clay-Bryan Station is always a great one going back to Lee-Givens in the 70's. Lex. Catholic and LCA could be a good one this coming season. LCA could be the favorite with what they return. I believe the Eagles beat them once last season.

Have you been to a GRC vs MoCo game? If not come be my guest this year....doesn't matter what sport.....all are intense.

Used to be quite a basketball game between CovCath and Holmes years back. As far as football, again years back, the two would play for a city championship trophy. As I recall Holmes did pretty well because CovCath was not as strong gridiron wise as they are now.
