Regardless of the reason, I wish them well at their new school. It is too bad that they will miss out on the benefits of a Trinity education.

X has played the big two very tough, with a chance to win both games. Good for them. On the other hand, Male and T gift wrapped the game for X and still managed to win. Hmmm.

1985 playoffs, St X was ahead of Trinity 14-0, late in the 3rd quarter. Late in the quarter Trinity scored a safety. Two fourth quarter touchdowns gave Trinity a 17-14 win on the way to the 1985 title. In 2012, Trinity down to Scott County 14-0 with about 8 minutes left, only to rally for a 21-14 win also ranks up there.

That doesn't work either. My sons grew 2-3 inches after high school. By your rule I'd be 5'2". I'm 5'10".

Trinity is governed by a board that makes major policy decisions, sets budgets etc. One of the members of that board is the senior class president.

Ryan is a fine young man. He has also served as the student member of the Trinity School Board. As such he is a full voting member of the school's governing board.

Yes, Jeep Quire from the start to 1963 did not win a title. Paulie Miller (1964), no title, Chuck Servino (1995 through 1998) no title, Kevin Wright (1998) no title. Coach Quire back in the early days is the only one to stay more than a year without a title. During Dennis Lampley's first stint as coach (1978 and 1979 he also didn't win one, but he came back as coach from 1985 through 1994 and won five.

I'll take a stab at this one. Trinity would have replaced Coach Beatty with a top coach. That is how it has been done for 50 years. That said, the last 15 years under Coach Beatty have been very special, even by Trinity standards. I don't know if anyone, even Coach Beatty can make the next 15 just as good, but count on it. Trinity will set the pace for Kentucky.

I should have clued you in. Trinity's top rival in this area is the St X Tigers. No offense was meant to Bentonville. It was just a little local joke.

Wait a minute. Is the Bentonville nickname Tigers? That explains it. Why would anyone go to a place named Tigers.

I wanted to wait a couple of days. I thought Trinity looked bored for most of the game. That is not a good sign going forward. This team has a chance to be special. They were not special Friday.

That doesn't surprise me. The entire athletic department has made that a point of emphasis.

Will there be a third place game?

That rewards the top teams with a bye and costs their athletic departments their share of the first round gate receipts. I think it is fine the way it is. I would prefer that the districts were more even in numbers, but the way they have handled it makes a lot of sense to me.

I hope that no one on the team is listening to you. They need to run the offense the COACH gives them and take the shots available in that offense. It isn't about showcasing one player. If by posting hard Ray can draw the defense and get other guys open, he is doing a great job.
