Bob Beatty says he?s staying at Trinity | USA Today High School Sports | USA Today High School Sports

This is good for KY high school football overall.

I'm glad he is staying but I wouldn't have blamed him if he left. His staying is great for Trinity and KY high school football IMO.

So basically the other school didnt want him. He did a great job of sugar coating why he is staying at Trinity. If it was such love he would have never applied to begin with.

Not for some Louisville schools it aint good news. Im sure a lot wished he had left.

Why is this, because the bar will remain elevated and the rest of the schools in Louisville (and around the state for that matter) can either elevate themselves or be content to complain?

Same reason the SEC coaches would be glad to see Calapari leave or K at duke.

I am not really sure how hard we went after him. My thought is that our AD already had his man in his sights but when Coach Bob threw his name in he decided to entertain the thought. I haven't seen too much tape on the play style he has over there but might have been too far of a move considering the play book here is ran all the way down to the 7th grade. Probably want to keep as close as they can.

Why?

Now that That is behind us, the Rocks have A Lot returning for the 2015 season & should be poised for another Title Run!! :thumb:

Great news for Rocks!

Wait a minute. Is the Bentonville nickname Tigers? That explains it. Why would anyone go to a place named Tigers.

No its not a nickname. Its the team name (Bentonville Tigers) The reason he and several coaches including an Assistant from the University of Illinois, would want to coach there is #1 - School just celebrated back to back state titles with the QB and many players returning so they would inherit a solid team. #2 - the coach leaving made nearly 6 figures so not a bad gig for a coach in Arkansas. #3 - MaxPreps Cup 2013-14: Top 5 schools from each state - MaxPreps

Not sure why the mascot would have anything to do with a coach that loved the game?

I should have clued you in. Trinity's top rival in this area is the St X Tigers. No offense was meant to Bentonville. It was just a little local joke.
