I am not really sure how hard we went after him. My thought is that our AD already had his man in his sights but when Coach Bob threw his name in he decided to entertain the thought. I haven't seen too much tape on the play style he has over there but might have been too far of a move considering the play book here is ran all the way down to the 7th grade. Probably want to keep as close as they can.

There are very few , if any , 100,000.00 figure coaching positions in Kentucky in any sport. That's why so many move on to AD positions. Trinity chooses not to combine AD with Head Coach slot. "Jefferson County Public Schools" has a rule in place that mandates against this practice that is very common out in the state.

Probably, at least at first. And it would surely be an unknown quantity.

I'll take a stab at this one. Trinity would have replaced Coach Beatty with a top coach. That is how it has been done for 50 years. That said, the last 15 years under Coach Beatty have been very special, even by Trinity standards. I don't know if anyone, even Coach Beatty can make the next 15 just as good, but count on it. Trinity will set the pace for Kentucky.

I would find it difficult to start new somewhere at 59 no matter the opportunity. Children being in Louisville would make it all the harder to move.

So basically the other school didnt want him. He did a great job of sugar coating why he is staying at Trinity. If it was such love he would have never applied to begin with.

They wanted him. He was offered the position.

Probably but unlike some other places decent isn't good enough at Trinity. Simon says a gaudy regular season record would never be acceptable if followed by playoff flame outs at Trinity.

No. Just saying he is a good coach and it's nice to keep top coaches in-state. List the top 5-10 coaches in the state and if any of them left it would hurt the overall product of high school football because they do a great job with their programs.
