Agreed. A lot of this could be over a phone call, realize its not a good match, and gracefully decline on both ends. Happens all the time.

Lives close to, son plays for, and friends with the AD of the school......guess maybe I'm a bit closer then just a resident of the area lol. But as one other poster stated, always two sides to every story. Each side will spin it how they want. I cant see a coach coming out of an interview saying the school didn't want him. That would be plain silly.

Understood. I know the selection committee has yet to meet to even recommend the pick. Though I still feel they have had the guy picked out from early on. Maybe I will be shocked, who knows.

Curious where you heard this? Hearing that's not the case over here. AD still had not offered due to several interviews left to go.

No its not a nickname. Its the team name (Bentonville Tigers) The reason he and several coaches including an Assistant from the University of Illinois, would want to coach there is #1 - School just celebrated back to back state titles with the QB and many players returning so they would inherit a solid team. #2 - the coach leaving made nearly 6 figures so not a bad gig for a coach in Arkansas. #3 - MaxPreps Cup 2013-14: Top 5 schools from each state - MaxPreps Not sure why the mascot would have anything to do with a coach that loved the game?

I am not really sure how hard we went after him. My thought is that our AD already had his man in his sights but when Coach Bob threw his name in he decided to entertain the thought. I haven't seen too much tape on the play style he has over there but might have been too far of a move considering the play book here is ran all the way down to the 7th grade. Probably want to keep as close as they can.
