  1. Interesting that the lowest rated team in 6A is rated higher than 19 of the 20 teams from the other classes.
  2. Meades playoff schedule has been tougher than Male and X? Hmmm. Look, bottom line is that you have to expect every team to be a tough out at this point in the season. Meade should be congratulated for what they have accomplished this year and last. I suspect that what has raised the ire of some of my Trinity breathren is comments like "porous" defense. I don't expect the Meade County kids to be intimidated by "Rocks" on the jerseys or by a few thousand Shamrock fans invading Brandenburg. Some of the fans on this site seem to be another story. In fact, I would posit that some of the Meade fans on this board might be whistling past that graveyard at one end of the field.
  3. You don't make it this far unless you are pretty good. Trinity is playing it's best ball right now. It sounds as if Meade is also. That said, it is never a good idea to pick against Trinity this time of year. Trinity is playing for its 13th trip to the finals in 15 years under Beatty. 12-0 in Thanksgiving weekend games. I think that the speed and strength of Trinity's front seven is the difference. Make it 21-7 'Rocks.
  4. Parking is NOT a problem at PJ.
  5. This is a St X home game. The X visitors side isn't adequate to host a grade school game, much less this game. Trinity would be crowded, but could hold it.
  6. I was there. Trinity was down 24-14 at one point in the first half. Late in the half Trinity lined up for a tieing field goal, ran the fake, and scored to go up 28-24. That was the final.
  7. I am curious about all of the scoring in Scott's last game. Is the defense bad or were both offenses that good. Thrinity hasn't given up a goal since September.
  8. Nothing personal against you. Never liked Ballard, never will.
  9. I remembered, did you? Next year when we move to your district we can forget about tie breakers.
  10. If there is a three way tie it goes to a tie breaker based on games won by teams you beat, not involved in the tie. Four games are counted. Prior to last nights games I think Trinity and ale were ahead of X.
  11. Why in the world would anyone want to do that? Have you seen the visitors stands at X? That is no place to watch a game. Maybe it would be good if Male rented the stadium and banished anyone wearing green and yellow to the visitors side.
  12. First, there is a lot of football to be played before the district champion is decided. There is not a single game left in this district that is a locked in win. If there is a two way tie, the winner of the head to head game wins. If there is a three way tie and none of the three teams beat the other two, it goes to a point system. You get one point for each game won by a team you defeated, not involved in the tie. A maximum of four games can be counted. There are way too many games left for that to have a lot of meaning at this point, but for what it's worth, Trinity and Male each have 14 points, X has 13.
  13. I've heard the St X student section on several occaisions, so no it isn't the bolded part. I heard the St X adult fans when James Quick was taken off on a strecher, so no. Let's face it. In recent years a JCPS team beating Trinity just wasn't going to happen. Beating X wasn't likely, but there was a chance. It isn't an accident that after last year the thinking of at least a couple of JCPS teams has changed. I know that the X people like to mention X football and Trinity football in the same breath, For nearly 50 years, that just isn't true.
  14. Trinity takes opening drive for 7. 7-0 Trinity.
  15. Having watched the Trinity streak, I know that a lot of hard work and a little luck goes into a long streak. Congratulations.
  16. I have seen what a top team in the country looks like and this year's Trinity team issn't it. That said, this team is better than it was a month ago and not as good as it will be a month from now. By the end of the season I hope it is good enough to be the best team in Kentucky.
  17. I can't say that I want BG to top the streak, but if they do, so be it. Best of luck.
  18. Now 15-14 T Two long runs by Colerain
  19. Now 15-7. Two missed PAT. 3:35 first
  20. Talk of a big Trinity win is silly. This year's Trinity team is a work in progress. Look for a close one.
  21. Imhotep is a very good team. I don't know if we will see that much speed or size the rest of the year. They wore out in the second half. I suspect that the 700 mile bus trip on Thursday could have contributed. I thought that Trinity's halftime adjustments were very good. The offense is finding out what it does well. It is the best Trinity defense in several years. A good win. It doesn't get any easier this week.
  22. Fortunate to be up. Imhotep is very big and very fast.
  23. Fits right in with the no opponent seating.
