Interesting that with all the success of these two programs over the years, this will be the first ever playoff matchup between the two.

The possibility of these two playing each other will increase if the 6A playoffs are set like the other classes.

Meade County will be the 88th different opponent to take on the Shamrocks.

Meade with only 2 losses: 17-0 to H and a one pointer that they avenged last night with a thumping of Central Hardin. And they beat Scott Co. at Scott. And they have home field advantage. Gosh I hope T stays focused. This one is a little scary.

I agree.

Meades D must be for real, any team that holds Male to 17 is legit in my book, X only held Male to 30, that should tell you all you need to know, another tough task for the Rocks this week!!

I tell ya, Meade's D is for real. Exceptionally stingy and as hard nosed as they come. It won't be an easy task for Trinity to win -- it won't be a brush by.

For instance, Central has an excellent QB that could run the pants off of most defenses, and was hard to contain in their first meeting. (But the Waves did contain him -- 7-7 at end of regulation). Last night Meade dominated again and held that phenom to 8 points, after he had ravaged many teams during season with a 40-points-per-game average! AVERAGE!!

Granted, Meade (and Central) did not play the caliber of teams Trinity has played...but I am basing my opinion on observation: I saw both teams play this year, and it will be a close one ---- that Meade is extremely hungry for. The Waves will come crashing on that Rocky shore...

I am hoping for a W for my Waves but beating Trinity in the playoffs is a lot to ask of any team. My fear is that Trinity's run defense is so good we have to throw the ball and we just don't do that often or very well. Trinity is susceptible to the deep ball but we don't have a deep threat or the ability to throw it deep. I feel like our defense can keep us in it but wonder if the offense can do enough to win it. To win I think we'll need to be +2 or more on turnovers and need to take advantage of the home field/crowd.

A question. I've never been to Meade's facility but looking at it on Google Maps it appears they have a rather small set of stands on the visitors side. What kind of capacity does it have?

I expect Trinity fans to travel well as they usually do for state semis.

Just a guess I'd say 250-350 people.

^ Gonna be a vast overflow.
Get there early and establish a Trinity section on the home side. In years gone by: Boone County had no seats on their visitors side, so Rock Nation occupied a large number of "home" and "visitor" seats. Dunbar and Henry Clay saw Trinity fans chant back and forth across the field.
