Trinity 30 Imhotep (PA) 6

About time. I only got to listen to bits and pieces of it, but it sounds like the offense finally clicked a bit in the second half.

Atta way, Rocks.

Just got back from a wedding.....very glad and relieved to see this result.

Had a great time tonight. Our Class of 1969, 45 year reunion celebrating Trinity's 1st of 22 state championships. Really nice to see my old friends and classmates. And Rocks win put icing on the cake. "Go Rocks"

I guess the shine isn't completely off the Rock yet, lol, Haters beware, you might be in for a long season. Trinity pretty much beat an Allstar team tonight, I've never seen a high school offensive line that big in my entire life. Left OT was every bit of 6'7 335, LG was 6'4 315, unreal. The Rocks hit all cylinders tonight, defense put up a stellar performance again, offense started hitting their groove in the second half, great total team game by the Rocks.

I wouldn't go that far. Trinity was not that impressive offensively. Their defense is very stout, but Imhotep was far from an all star team. They had 2 great players and that was it. Their entire team played both ways and none of the large lineman for Tep could move at all.

How did T's young QB fare?

Managed the game fairly well but not much of a threat through the air, most passes were jailbreak screens and sprint outs. Not going to beat anyone by themselves like last year's QB could.

So basically, if Trinity wins the other team is no good, if Trinity loses then then the other team is great & Trinity can't play with the big dogs anymore, I think I get it

Slow down there little lady, I have no idea as to what you are referring to outside of my analysis of this one game, the only Trinity game I have watched this year. I have an opinion of the ball game that I watched.

Trinity has two threats Burns and Brooks. Defensively Trinity is stacked, very stout, but still some holes in the coverage, the middle of the field stays wide open. Imhotep was very large but extremely unathletic, the 6'7 340 tackle couldn't even run onto the field, he looked like a mall walker taking the field. #7 and #8 were players and #3 in spurts but undersized.

Imhotep's special teams were the worst I have ever witnessed at a "6A" game, I know they are PA 3A.

I believe you are incorrect regarding number of Panthers playing both ways. Alabama is recruiting their Jr tight end. Maryland has a verbal commitment from their best WR. I believe a DE was offered by FSU recently. They were ranked #5 in AAA PA, which is the second highest class. Anyway you slice it, they are as talented as any Kentucky team. 30 unanswered points is a very positive sign.

That 6-7, 340 kid you didn't like is a junior with 10 Division I offers!

Have a good friend whose son graduated from there last year and play Division II ball now. He said 8 guys already with multiple D-1 offers, including #8 with 30 (Florida State and Alabama).

They reminded me a lot of those Central teams that won the state titles a few years back, only more good kids all around. And special teams was not good...but the kid going to Maryland 23 had 270 yards receiving last week on Cardinal Mooney - an Ohio team that's usually good.

Bottom line a very good win.

Imhotep is a very good team. I don't know if we will see that much speed or size the rest of the year. They wore out in the second half. I suspect that the 700 mile bus trip on Thursday could have contributed. I thought that Trinity's halftime adjustments were very good. The offense is finding out what it does well. It is the best

Trinity defense in several years. A good win. It doesn't get any easier this week.

You can slice it anyway you like. You "inside info" is a little off. Yasir Durant #70 has 0 offers according to rivals. They have 3 players who have scholarship offers with #8 leading the way. They had 7 players go both ways meaning they had 15 starters.

Any win is a great win, but no need to embellish it.
