I don't see where this has been started so I will do it:

I look at this years teams and it looks similar to last year where Trinity came in as the favorite and St X won.

I think Trinity came in with the big head last year and played a terrible game.

I look for them to play much better this year and win a close one.

St. X is such an inconsistent team that this could be a nail biter or a complete blowout. No idea what to expect.

Aint that the truth. Hopefully its a good game, but Im taking Trinity by 21

St. X has played really well in their "big games" this year, but played really bad in the "easy games" this year. I'm not sure what X team will show up on Friday. If Ridder performs well it'll be a very competitive game.

Also, both of their easy games have been on natural fields in the rain. This Friday is supposed to be dry and it's on artificial turf. I'm expecting a close game, but I believe Trinity can pull it out, 28-21.

Blowout Trinity ' s physicality is way way above St Xaviers.

It's the one time of the year I wish I lived in Louisville.

Trinity wins this one.

Loved seeing the official parish tailgate for the game advertised in the church bulletin this morning. I'm excited to go to the game on Saturday!

Trinity - 21

St. X - 27

Upset

For X to win they're going to half to play similarly to last year, create turnovers and connect on their big plays. I'm not exactly sure X will be able to go toe to toe with T, but create a short field or unconventional TD and they could pull off an upset.

BOTH teams seem to struggle from time to time in the rain and with the natural playing surface. Good thing we're back on the turf. Just hope for a beautiful football weather evening...for the guys playing the game. Last two regular season games have been a nightmare from a Mother Nature perspective. Could have played both games on Noah's Ark.

Also hope for a big crowd on both sides. Because of the weather the past 2 years, I think we've been around 18,000. Would like to see both fan bases push this thing back up to 25,000 +.

I'll take the Rocks 24-17.

No clue what to expect... On paper Trinity wins 14+, but we all know this game isn't played on paper.. Go Rocks!!

Not similar, T is much better at this stage of the season than last year, with a lot of experienced players returned from their championship, compared to X who have practically all new starters on both sides of the ball. Last year I don't know how much of a favorite T was, because T's whole secondary on defense was injured coming into the game, and X made them pay by completing several long pass plays. On paper T has a much more experienced and comlete team than X, especially on D. They have one common opponent, which is PRP, T allowed a -15 yds of offense to PRP, X allowed almost 400 yds to PRP, take that for what it's worth.

That is a massive difference, but I'm not sure how much stock I would put into that statistic.

Did T play PRP the week after they lost to Male?

Bummed I'm going to have to miss this one.
