12-0. I get the frustration. Looking at the schedule, they weren’t challenged all season. Good season. Play a better schedule, learn to deal with adversity during the season, and you’ll be better prepared for games in November. False sense of who they were with 12 weeks of cupcake city.

Checked the Twitter video of the last play. One kid from Warren east stormed the field from the bench and blasted a Franklin player in the back who was just standing around the pile. Not a good way for him to go out.

Yeah. I’m sure it pays way more too.

Multiple people tell me he’ll be Highlands next coach. The sooner the better imo.

As a Highlands fan, I understand the anger from the Trinity faithful! All will be right again when both schools make their next hires.

Looking at Breathitt’s schedule, I can’t find what would be considered a good win.

Easy W for Scott County.

That’s a flaw in the system. No way the team that won the district should have to travel to the runner up in the same district for the playoffs. Cross direct runner up, no issue. The cross district could be stronger. But traveling to the district runner up instead of having the home field you earned should be corrected. One sentence in the rules fixes that problem.

It’s hard to go against Trinity in the playoffs.

Can’t claim to know a lot about Brossart football. But remember there was a time when they were thinking about dropping football. They obviously turned it around and are regularly beating the teams they put on the schedule to save their program. Alexandria is growing. Assuming so is Brossart. Now it’s time to take the next step and start playing a little higher quality team. I’m not saying to call Highlands and Beechwood. But what they’re doing now isn’t properly preparing the team for the postseason. Send the bus north instead of down the AA. There’s nothing down there. Schedule Scott, Lloyd, Holy Cross, NCC, Walton, Holmes. Get rid of Ludlow, Bracken, Dayton, and Bellevue.

That was clean. Nothing about that was close to not being a catch.

Highlands starts with a turnover. Then conservative play calling put them in a hole. Defense couldn’t get off the field all night. Tonight was the night you needed to play run stoppers at corner! Highlands was out coached. Dale beats that team by 3 TD’s minimum. What’s with the big gathering on the field after the game? It’s over. Get in the locker room.

The 4 classes was perfect. But, unfortunately not everyone got a ribbon. Too many thought it was unfair little Jim Bob played all those years and never got his chance to experience post season football. That’s how I thought we arrived at 6 classes. Now he gets to say he made the playoffs when he was in school. He can tell stories how he once played at Trinity, Male, Highlands, Beechwood, St. X, etc. He just leaves out they were 1-9 and got running clocked with time still left in the 1st qtr.

I’m going to root for the N Ky team. Don’t know anything much about either team. But it does look like Paintsville has played the better schedule. Brossart needs to play a better schedule these days. They’re not the pushover they used to be. So it’s time to step up and find a few games to prepare you for the post season. Schedule some of Holmes, Lloyd, Boone, Scott, NCC, Walton, Bourbon, Harrison.

Everyone keeps talking about FD handling Boyle this year. I saw the Lexcath vs Boyle game. The only thing I think we learned in those 2 games is this that Boyle has fallen off some. I’d go as far as to say the Boyle run defense is what I’d consider soft. FD shouldn’t run thru Covcath like they did Boyle.

Why have the traditional Louisville area vb powers fallen off so much?

The 8-2 record looks impressive until you start looking at their schedule and see they were running clocked against Scott Co and Frederick Douglas. And they don’t have 1 quality win among the 8 games they won. But they still are a relatively new program. Last night’s execution by Covcath gets them a 28pt loss next week.

Nice to hear a guy returned. I’m not familiar with the player. So, I’ve not seen the guy make any big plays on the varsity level yet that I’m aware of. What’s his story? Was he a great jv player in the past just coming back? Hurt early this year I assume. Any varsity last year? Sorry, I wasn’t paying much attention last year. I hope he has a huge game, I just don’t see him taking any focus at all from Charlie Noon until he actually makes a few game changing varsity plays. I have a hard time anointing a guy before he proves himself on the field. There’s been a lot of guys who were supposedly great, but no one ever saw it. But I do hope you’re right and there’s another guy with Charlie Noon potential in the lineup.

Covcath must not want to show any of their good plays to Freddie Douglas.
