It’ll balance out by the time the regular season ends. And a lot of those teams won’t still be playing by the time Rpi comes into account.

The part about having a healthy varsity capable backup makes sense if Benke were to get hurt. A JV game does present a risk of injury as does any live action. It’s a fine line. You have to trust the coach is doing right for the future of the player and making the best decision for the good of the current team at the same time. Both are valid arguments.

Do you think the man only has been working? Friday night’s defensive showing was a total embarrassment! It was pathetic.

Highlands should win. But they could give up another 500 yards passing with that awful, back to the ball, man coverage.

They could’ve been tired. Was just my observation watching 2 teams I hadn’t seen this year.

My first thought moving forward is, will last night be enough to convince coach that his 100% man coverage defensive philosophy is terrible? As a Highlands it was embarrassing to watch. And the fact no one was smart enough to make any adjustments all game is very concerning. Why not mix it up? Dixie should pass every down next week too. In hindsight, it’s now easy to see why Covcath kept converting 3rd and long when they played after getting stuffed trying to run the ball on 1st and 2nd down.

Imo the body language changed. And it looked like the effort from earlier in the game wasn’t there. A lot more reaching and grabbing trying to make tackles. They looked like they accepted they weren’t going to win after Boyle went up 35-21. Rewatch the next offensive and next defensive series after that TD.

Easy. They weren’t playing a very good team this week. Especially compared to the other teams they’ve been playing.

LexCath quit after they gave up the TD to go down 35-21. CovCath will beat Boyle County and I’m not a CovCath fan.

The defensive performance by Highlands was about the worst I’ve ever seen. The only thing worse was Cooper’s defense tonight.

If Highlands stays at #1 in the Rpi, does that give them home field all the way until the finals?

Last years game obviously much closer than this year. But the game last year wasn’t as close as the score. Highlands was on the 1 with a chance to go up 31-7. Stopped and Raceland made a king drive against the backups.

Maybe not. But they’ve closed a few schools in the past.

Unless or until the enrollment goes back up, it’s going to be tough for NCC to be at the level they’ve been in the past. Not certain but I’ve heard some grades have only 40-50 total kids. And that includes the girls. I know they’re raising money for a field. Also read the fundraising was going well. But, if you don’t have any students, will it even matter? Will the diocese continue to keep it open if the enrollment keeps shrinking? Brossart has a nice football complex so there’s no reason for the kids in Alexandria/Southern Campbell to go North. Highlands offers much more for free or much lower tuition. Getting more students will be difficult. Just don’t know where the students will come from.

Feels like St X let's the state of Ky down almost every year against the Ohio teams. Love that they’re bold enough to schedule. Good enough to at least compete. I’m always hopeful they can win. But rarely does that happen.

Who brought up Highlands besides you? I never said Highlands schedule was great. Also don’t believe the Raceland game should have ever been scheduled. Deflect much? Covcath has a terrible schedule the rest of the way. Highlands has nothing to do with the rest of Covcath’s schedule being terrible. It is what it is. Soft. Let’s not even bring up the rest of your alma mater’s schedule. But hey, it’s not as bad as the rest of Covcath’s.
