In their last 10 outings, Campbell County leads the series 8-2.

Golly. Not a good night for my boys. It's sad but the days of the Breds competing outside of their class seem to be in the rear view. 

Unless or until the enrollment goes back up, it’s going to be tough for NCC to be at the level they’ve been in the past. Not certain but I’ve heard some grades have only 40-50 total kids. And that includes the girls. I know they’re raising money for a field. Also read the fundraising was going well. But, if you don’t have any students, will it even matter? Will the diocese continue to keep it open if the enrollment keeps shrinking?
 

Brossart has a nice football complex so there’s no reason for the kids in Alexandria/Southern Campbell to go North. Highlands offers much more for free or much lower tuition. Getting more students will be difficult. Just don’t know where the students will come from.

I agree with a lot of this, but the Diocese will never close NCC.

Maybe not. But they’ve closed a few schools in the past.

Yes, but they won’t close NewCath. There’s a reason it’s hung on as long as it has.

Care to elaborate on your reason? I do know that their Sports complex would of been completed several years ago by Wayne Carlise if NCC could prove and show an increase in Class sizes. Something tells me that hasn't happened hence no Field completion yet. Maybe they're raising meaningful money but Powerball Money is how you get the Deal done. 

I received the letter in the mail detailing what the new complex will look like, and with the remodel of some new class rooms over the summer, I have to feel like NewCath powers to be (also the Diocese) feels they're in a decent spot to move forward. Sent my donation money to help the project move forward, hopefully it comes to fruition after 70 years.
