Total domination on defense for Highlands.  Raceland had some bright spots on defense, but could not produce much offense due to the dominating Highlands defense.   Congratulations to the Bluebirds.

Thanks for the updates @Ram!

Shows the difference at the top in 5A and 1A football. I was surprised when Highlands scheduled this series two years ago.

This match up almost happened about 10 years ago.  Plus last year was a much better game. Heck, it may continue after this season.

All things considered I think it was a good two game series for both teams but I would not renew it.

Total domination. Could’ve been a bit worse. This series will hopefully end forever. Big difference in size and physicality.

Raceland will be a tough out in their division though. Both teams played clean football. No taunting or late hits.

Thought a few guys stood out for Highlands. on offense, Benke, Geisler, the backup QB Litmer, # 4 Matteoli, and #14 made some good plays early. The defense gang tackled all night. Timely blitz calls. Highlands DL was outstanding. They wore out the Raceland QB.

Regardless of the differences in class, Highlands has been a different team IMO since the Cov Cath game. Highlands has legitimate argument for the top spot in 5A.

I think Highlands’ front four were a major factor. They were dominating.

Nice Tv production by Raceland made for a good night watching the game outside on the deck. But they could benefit by turning down the sound on the commercials. You could probably hear the commercials on the other side of town!

I agree, great production, but  the commercials are a little loud lol

I know right.  I have a pretty solid set of Bose computer speakers and sometimes the commercials send out a shock wave.

Right, but when it is that loud you turn the audio down or off...

Wow.  Impressive win on the road for the Birds.  Like a runaway train and just rammed the Rams.

Raceland hosts Newport Central Catholic in a big 1A showdown.

What a great setting for a high school football game. Raceland had some of the nicest fans as well. If you haven't been there,  it's a pretty cool facility.
