Who will Woodford play next week?

This game was really never close, Covington Catholic could do NOTHING on offense for most of the game.

I thought Woodford county was going to get blown out? That’s all I saw in this thread before the game.

He gets the most talk about his play at Running back, but Starks’ play at defensive end is where I think he Excels more. Really quick defensive end with a lot of power, really gives Offensive Tackles trouble.

Really sad for him he’s a really good player, thankfully he will have next, but he has now torn an ACL twice, he tore one last year as well. I am not sure if he tore the same ACL twice or is he tore both.

I don't think this games will be close, Mayfield will win comfortably.

If you wanted to use RPI from the beginning, I think you would have to reduce the number of teams in the playoffs. Now if the RPI was improved, think this could be a good strategy.

If I remember correctly, didn't Mayfield have like a 15 year streak of making it to at least the Semi-Finals until last year.

McCracken has athletes in the school too is the unfortunate, they are perennially top 5 in Baseball, and have a really successful basketball program.

There is a lot of teams in contention for this title, but for me, it is McCracken County. Never lost the district before, decent hype pre-season, although there were warning signs, but the wheels just completely fell off.

I don't love the notion that he quit on the team for money, he made the decision that was best for him, and given the amount of money he had on the line, it was the best decision to leave. Now back to real time, that was a really good play on a fourth down, stepped up in the pocket under pressure, but kept his composure and threw a really nice touch pass out in front of his receiver.

And obviously SW as well, assuming they can get past BG in the second round.

This game should be pretty close, McCracken’s defense is still decent at stopping the run but gets torched through the air, thankfully for the Mustangs, Henderson struggles throwing that ball. I don’t expect McCracken to have a ton of success on offense, the last 2 years with much more talented offenses, the Mustangs had struggles against an always solid Henderson defense. The scores Henderson had with Apollo and Marshall shows me the Mustangs can compete in this one, but I can’t pick them to win, I’ll go with Henderson by 7. Finally it’s really weird that this game has really no meaning tonight, has been the de-facto district championship since when McCracken opened in 2013, although with the new playoff formatting I believe the official district champion is decided in the playoffs. When a team is an as rough shape as Ballard is, it truly is a struggle, the running clock took affect in I believe the 1st quarter.

Based on common opponents, specifically Owensboro, McCracken, and Marshall, Daviess county should be a prohibitive favorite.

It feels like Owensboro has a Kick of return for a touchdown every year against Graves County.

I don't necessarily agree on scrapping the RPI all together, we need some kind of computer model to make sure the best teams are not match up in the Second and third round. Now i do think reseeding the final eight 1-8 is a big deal. I remember in previous years St. X had to play Male in the 3rd round, because they were both in the " West" side of the state. The final 8 just needs to be seeded 1-8, a team should not be at the mercy of where there school is located.
