Has Mayfield ever been running clocked at home?

The only other one I could think of was McCracken County in 2020, I believe it was 42-7, but I don't think that one was ever a running clock.

This feels insane to say, but is a running clock on the table for Mayfield next week? Has that ever even happened to Mayfield?

One thing that makes places like Marshall, or just any places where winning isn't the norm, is that it is really hard to build out a staff. You will absolutely find people who want to coach, that isn't the problem, but it is hard to find people who really know their stuff from a football perspective.

I think the XFL rule for kickoffs, every player lined up 1 yard apart from one another, is much better than standard kickoff, by far and away the most dangerous play in the sport.

Is this game going to be streamed anywhere? I don't think PT normally does streams, but the magnitude of the game makes me feel as if they might.

Previous regime really hurt McCracken, the numbers just ended up being far below where they need to be for a 6A program.

McCracken County totally falling apart really hurt Mayfield, that was consistently good team on the schedule form 2013-2019.

Paducah Tilghman would probably disagree with CAL being the best 3A team.

Henderson coach John Boston in my eyes has always done a great job of getting the most out of his defense’s, back when McCracken was rolling in district 1 Henderson was always one of the best defenses they played.

I think we don’t have a super fair judgment about his time at PR though, because they were pretty good for 2 years, and then 1 year they were pretty bad but he also had a lot of outside pressure on him that final year which is what ultimately lead to Smith stepping down.

I don’t think the school had a ton of options because of how late in the process the job came open, as well as the state of the program was way down if you asked anyone around the team.

Wasn't this game a total blow out last year?

I’m sure there could be a book written on the subject, but what happened to Danville. Just a few years ago they were beating Mayfield in back to back state title games, but it appears the fall off has been steep.
