  1. That was the 4th and 1 in the first 5 minutes, for the last 4th and one of the game, the formation was different.
  2. They don’t need to run it better they need to just stop trying to run the ball nearly as much, it’s so obvious how hard they want to run the ball on first and second down even when the defense dictated they couldn’t.
  3. Correct, the Bengals dropped 8 on i believe half of the Chiefs passing plays, which obviously worked. I don't think the Bengals struggling to rush the passer was unique to the game against the Chiefs, the Bengals struggled to rush the passer against the Titans as well, and while they rushed the passer well against the Raiders, the Raiders offensive line was dreadful this year. The best thing the Bengals can hope for is that the Rams come out and run the ball a ton, the rams most efficient offensive games this year have been against Tampa Bay, when they totally disregarded the run game, which was incredibly effective because of how great the rams passing game has been.
  4. I am going to be a real downer in this thread and pick the Rams. I just don't see the Bengals being able to move the ball enough to score given the monumental struggles the Bengals have still had on the Offensive line, while also I struggle to see the Bengals rushing the passer with any type of consistency, despite the 4 sacks they got against KC Mahomes was only under pressure 11 times( in 43 dropbacks) and many of those pressures were when Mahomes caused the pressure by leaving a clean pocket. I think it could be a long night for the Bengals. LAR-27 CIN-14
  5. I agree with this, the first INT was just an all world play by Bates, he is playing the deep middle in a cover 1, and is able to pick off a 15 yard curl off play-action, just an incredible play. The Second Pick was just a great play by Hilton, and just unlucky that when he batted it up in the air it someone came back down right to him. The third pick, was probably the most questionable, but Tannehill was hurt by two things on that play, one that the receiver didn't come back to the ball harder, allowing Eli Apple to get a hand on it, and two the ball happened to pop up in the air after it was deflected. So out of all three, I would not consider any of the 3 picks all on Tannehill.
  6. Green Bay having only 2 Super Bowl's after having 30 consecutive years of top 10 all time Quarterback play is one of the biggest management failures in sports. The 49ers won 5 Super Bowl's in the years they had Montana and Young, While the Patriots won 6 in the 20 years they had Brady. Total organizational failures by the Green Bay Packers.
  7. I would be pro shot clock, but mostly to make the end of games more exciting, it sucks to watch a team try and run the clock out with like 2 minutes left up 4. I get the argument of “play better pressure defense” but at that point the game isn’t basketball anymore, it is just keep away.
  8. I really want UC to win this game, but this game feels like it could get ugly. I like UC's defense, but it's not better than Georgia's defense, while the Alabama offense will be by far the best offense UC had faced. I think UC can keep it close for a while, but I would take Alabama to win and cover the 14.
  9. I don't think Beechwood could beat Male.
  10. Mayfield will have a lot back next year, should be back to typical Mayfield level.
  11. I will say for the PT O-Line, the are super super young, both starting tackles are sophomores, and I believe they only have 1 senior starting on the O-line, not necessarily bad players, just really young players.
  12. PT has a ton of younger talent, they will be an absolute force in the years to come.
  13. I liked what a saw from the Woodford O-line last week, but the Spartans defensive line will be the best they have played this year. One of the most fundamentally sound defensive lines you will see, they don’t bust assignments, and are really good with there hands.
  14. Glasgow played Woodford and got their doors blown off. Glasgow also played Russellville, and won. These would be the 2 toughest games Glasgow has played. I would also say it is hard to take anything from those games because they were both in the first two week of the season. I would take PT, just knowing what I know about PT, but I definitely would not be surprised if Glasgow won.
  15. I don’t know a ton about Glasgow so I will preface that, but outside of a win over Bardstown last week, who has Glasgow really played? PT is very inconsistent, they can play great against Henry County, Tennessee, then get shut out by Henderson County. But I would say PT has 100% played the tougher schedule and are more battle tested.
  16. I’m going to roll with the Blue Tornado, Tilghman has absolutely incredible team speed, per usual, but this year they have been able to spread it out and throw it. I think PT makes it back to Kroger for the first time in a Decade.
  17. I rolled with Woodford County last week, but I think the Spartans defense will be too much in this game. I really liked what I saw last weed from Woodford so I think this game will be close, but I think South makes it to Lexington.
  18. I’m not sure it was a smoking hot take at any point.
  19. This could also go the other way, if Woodford County doesn't give off a kickoff return for a touchdown and if their punter catches the snap, the game is also not as close. So I would say for the majority of the game it didn't feel as if CovCath had a chance to win.
  20. I would definitely agree, Humphrey’s is very very good, but the numbers were inflated by the schedule. Daviess county was clearly overmatch from the jump in this game.
  21. Yes that Mayfield team was probably there best team in the last 5 or so years, did Hergott play in that game? I remember Beechwood was very young that year.
  22. It i remember correctly, the last time Beechwood played Mayfield was Stinson’s Sr year, 2019? I don’t remember the final score but I don’t believe it was close.
