49ers 13 Packers 10 (NFC Divisional Round)

Final. The special teams killed the Packers tonight. Both #1 seeds eliminated on the same night.

Aaron Fraudgers.

He missed on a lot of throws in that game IMO. That pass he threw to Randall Cobb at the end of the game - there were two guys wide open in the middle. I saw other plays like that several times in the game where I thought he threw to the wrong player.

A-A-Ron did not play well, but fact is, the kicking game let down GB tonight.   SF was no offensive juggernaut.  Niners special teams saved the day.

Rodgers could have won them the game but he didn’t lose it for them. Special teams cost them ten points - easily the difference.

True, but if you are one of the greatest, you have to make plays to get the win in the face of adversity. He missed plays when he had a chance to get the win.

For sure. That is what I mean when I say he could have won it for them. Fair to say he should have won it for them. But they did enough offensively to win. All they needed was for that punt not to get blocked, and to a lesser extent, the field goal. I buy one of those things happening in a game. How in the world did BOTH happen?

Rodgers is 7-9 in the playoffs since his Super Bowl victory in 2011.

Was just thinking that about the #1 teams. When is the last time no one was #1 going into both conference title games? I’m sure it’s had to be a very long time.

Not surprised at this result at all. Green Bay has been fortunate winning as many games as they have during the regular season as they did. It almost had the feel that they were due for a loss.

Green Bay having only 2 Super Bowl's after having 30 consecutive years of top 10 all time Quarterback play is one of the biggest management failures in sports. The 49ers won 5 Super Bowl's in the years they had Montana and Young, While the Patriots won 6 in the 20 years they had Brady. Total organizational failures by the Green Bay Packers.

Or proof of who the truly great QB's are?

How crazy would it be to have the third ever Super Bowl between the Bengals and 49ers?

You know what they say about the third time.
