With all games including the playoffs factored in, here is how calpreps.com ranks the top ten in KY:

1. St. Xavier

2. Male

3. South Warren

4. Boyle County

5. Douglass

6. Beechwood

7. Lexington Christian

8. Johnson Central

9. Trinity

10. Madison Central

Here is the link to their entire statewide rankings: http://calpreps.com/2021/ratings/Kentucky_all.htm

What are your thoughts? How would your statewide top ten look?

With all the factors taken in, I don’t know how Douglas and Boyle end up ranked higher than Beechwood. Had LCA won the state title they for sure would have been ranked higher than both of them. I agree with the top three but after that I would have Beechwood and LCA then Boyle then Douglas. I know the LCA and Boyle game was early but like my issue with College Football you can’t forget about the games played on the field.

Couple of even stranger things to me was Belfry being ranked below two other 3A teams and Evangel Christian being ranked ahead of 20-30 schools and they never even played a game did they.

I would go:

1. St. X

2. Male

3. Boyle

4. South Warren

5. Beechwood

6. LCA

7. Trinity

8. Douglass

9. Mad Central

10. Johnson Central

1 St. X

2. Beechwood

3. Male

4. Boyle

5. South Warren

6. LCA

7. Frederick Douglass

Here is how I would rank the Top 25:

1. St. X

2. Male

3. South Warren

4. Trinity

5. Beechwood

6. LCA

7. Boyle County

8. Manual

9. Madison Central

10. Woodford County

11. Frederick Douglass

12. Johnson Central

13. Owensboro

14. Lexington Catholic

15. Covington Catholic

16. Corbin

17. Ryle

18. Pikeville

19. Franklin County

20. Bryan Station

21. Southwestern

22. Daviess County

23. Mayfield

24. Bowling Green

25. Ballard

I agree with the list. Boyle County is definitely better than South Warren.  I don't know enough about Beechwood to know if they should be higher or not.

I don't think Beechwood could beat Male.

1. X

2. Male

3. Boyle

4. South Warren

5. Trinity

6. Douglass

7. Beechwood

8. LCA

9. Manual

10. Madison Central

Boyle and Beechwood would be a very good game I think.  I think both are above South Warren but who knows.

After having watched every team play I’d say Boyle is a top 3 team in the state.

This one right here looks good to me.   Beechwood and LCA aren’t beating Trinity.

If you think that a Beechwood team, that doesn’t throw the ball could beat south, you’re crazy.

Beechwood had almost as many yards passing as South Warren had. They can throw it just fine, but lost a couple key receivers to season ending injuries and had another playing under the weather on Friday. Rode the horse and ran the clock and got the win, and in the end, that’s all that matters.
