  1. Anybody else notice the error CBS made right before tipoff? They put up a graphic about Calipari noting that he had led Kentucky to a national championship in 2015, not 2012. Or maybe they did that on purpose? šŸ˜
  2. I thought he was the best quarterback we faced, and there are several others in Mayfield that agree with me on that.
  3. I believe you could put Georgia Tech in this conversation. They used to be outstanding in the 80s.
  4. One thing is for sure, the Tigers will be a monster to deal with this year. At the end of the broadcast of last seasonā€™s semifinal, I stated that Beechwood would be my pick for preseason #1 in 2A for 2024. Nothing has changed my mind. What I saw on the field in that semifinal was a complete TEAM. Everybody doing their job, until the whistle blows, on every single play. That is how championship football is played, and boy do they play it. Hayden is, imo, the best quarterback that we faced last year. Thatā€™s high praise considering the other quarterbacks that we faced. The receiving crew that he has to throw to are stupid good, and the Fryman kid may be the best one of them all. Flaherty will be a weapon at running back. I could say more, but I will end with this, they are a really good team all the way around.
  5. I'm in the same movie. And that's the point. Today's game has disintegrated to the point that I am ambivalent about a team that I used to live and die with.
  6. I believe there will be some roster changes that have yet to take place. I will withhold my opinion until a little later. But I will say that I think Beechwood is the favorite for that number one spot.
  7. I would say since Bam. He was a pretty darn good big for UK in 2017 and having a very good NBA career too. I would say since Nick Richards. His last year with the Cats was beastly, and could have won SEC player of the year if not for the year Quickly had.
  8. I am exhausted. I don't think I could do another game if I had to. We just played what amounts to 3 state championship caiber games in back to back to back weeks. So proud of our team. We were running on fumes in the second half, and still found a way to win! Go Big Red!
  9. I believe it was something like 42-35, or 35-28 in favor of Mayfield. It was a 7 point difference
  10. Which is something we may have to consider.
  11. We also played OC in 77 at their house. We won that game, but it was a closer game than when they came to play us in 78 at War Memorial. We handled them easily in that game.
