Of course  I am biased toward Beechwood but I think the RPI this year has worked to Beechwood’s favor and the West Bracket is going to cannibalize itself. The Mayfield-LCA game is going to be a battle and I think LCA squeaks one out against Mayfield. I then believe that will take its toll on LCA and they lose a close one to Owensboro Catholic the next week. I believe the State Championship will be another battle but the previous weeks games will wear a little more on OC and Beechwood wins by a score of 24-17. That’s is assuming all teams stay healthy.

Beechwood would destroy OC. I hope that isn’t the championship match up. I still believe Mayfield and BW meet on the big stage in December.

LCA is healthy, confident and starting to click on all cylinders. Granted they will be on the road 3rd round but I don’t think it matters. Glad to see everyone writing them off. They have played the toughest schedule in 2A this season outside of district.

Being the underdog might work for LCA.  They didn't get the result they were hoping for as the favorite the past two years so jump on that underdog role and go with it.

LCA will be a very tough out....But I don't think they won a game that weren't heavily favored to win.

Healthy LCA is the best team in 2A. Also they have played the toughest schedule in 2A. Pikeville, CAL, Belfry, Lexington Catholic and Madison Central. Playing on the road shouldn't be a big deal to them.

Remember they lost to a healthy MC in the last 2 seconds. The other losses were with a 4th string QB while missing two starting WR’s, a starting safety and two of those games missing their starting running back as well. Not many teams would win games with a schedule like that missing that many dudes. They have a tough road to get back to Kroger for the 3rd year in a row.

All offensive players......what about their defense that gave gave up 60, 49, 42 and 38 ?

Well when your O can’t stay on the field and you average 6 turnovers a game then the D is in a bad spot lol. As strong as years past? No, young and still learning but coming together at the right time.

Makes up for their not so tough playoff road last year.

Oh you mean like the one BW will get for having the #1 RPI this year? The system is the system. Take care of business during the regular season and the path to Kroger can be easier for some and tougher for others.

Hopefully my Dragons can get past Somerset this week and I get to see LCA in person next week.

I know that’s a tough game for my Dragons, but love to see them play against great talent and see how they match up.

O’ Cath has an argument for the toughest schedule also. 6A Daviess County 5A Owensboro 3A Union County 3A CAL and E-town. I think they compete with anybody in 2A.

They won’t see anything in the playoffs that they haven’t seen in the regular season as far as talent goes.
