Gavin Wimsatt leaving Owensboro.

Featured Replies

Reports are unfolding as we speak that Gavin Wimsatt told Owensboro after the game that he is leaving school immediately to enroll at Rutgers. He is apparently immediately eligible and has a 6 figure NIL deal waiting on him.

Terrible for high school athletics. The snowball has been released and it’s heading downhill. Fast

Need to line up a NIL deal for Vinny Anthony at Wisconsin. Lol.

Looks like the rumors are true.

I will say that we Red Devils knew he was leaving in January.  However I’m getting texts from inside that it may be true wiw this sucks

I guess what don’t make any sense to me is Rutgers sucks and I’m sure he’s a great player and a good kid but he’s not changing that. And I understand he’s a great recruit but it ain’t like he’s a top 10 recruit so I’m surprised that someone is investing that kind of money on a high school senior. This whole situation seems strange to me.

He's rated 11th best QB so close to top 10. Rutgers is state school of New Jersey and just takes one donor to pony up the money.

I agree with you 100%

While we are at it, let’s get rid of AAU everything as well. We should also talk the KHSAA into enforcing their own transfer rules.

We have the perfect storm this year.
