  1. I would personally have Henderson County at number 5, but this year in 6A is truly the best 4 teams are undoubtedly in Louisville, and then there is a big drop off too the best of the rest.
  2. I would say there is an absolutely canyon between 1-3 and then the rest of 2A, and as stated earlier good luck to anyone having to play at War Memorial in November, not a place you going expecting to leave with a win.
  3. After the showing by Franklin County on Friday I feel like they deserve to be number 3, but the top 4 have clearly separated themselves in 4A.
  4. SW is really good this year, I don’t know much about Hendersonville, but I’ll role with the Spartans. SW-30 Hendersonville-14
  5. This one will likely get ugly, I think Ballard’s defense can play, particularly the defensive line, but the offense really struggled last week against Hoptown, and a date with the best defense in Kentucky awaits.
  6. This should be a really good game, I will lean Mayfield, but wouldn’t be surprised with either outcome. Mayfield-27 Hoptown-21
  7. I think this is going to be a long night for the McCracken offense, the Mustangs could only manage 12 points last year, with a better team, I would expect similar output this Friday. BG-24 MC-6
  8. James did, now the strength of McCracken County’s team is the defensive line, and in particular there ability to rush the passer, especially with the amount they blitz. Graves doesn’t have that on there defensive line, or really anything close, so I would expect the PT offensive line to play much better.
  9. Having watched both teams, I would definitely favor PT next week, I don’t see how Graves can match up with the Tilghman receivers, or how it matches up in the front 7 vs the PT offensive line. On the other side of the ball, Graves will have to be able to run the ball better against PT then they did against Mayfield to have any chance.
  10. I agree, McCracken has had 2 years where they really could compete with anyone( outside of Louisville), 2015 lost in the region final to Central Hardin, Starting QB Cash Jones got hurt in the first quarter, lost 10-7. Then in 2019 McCracken lost in the region final to North Hardin 38-2, Starting QB Elijah Wheat didn’t play, along with starting running back Hunter Bradley. Anyone that thinks McCracken is a year in and year out contender just doesn’t understand the landscape of 6A football. Maybe they could get to that level at some point in the distant future, but they are a far cry from that right now.
  11. Graves next week is easily winnable, then they have a chance to get the monkey off there back with Mayfield. After that, the sledding gets tougher with South Warren and Henderson County.
  12. The schedule only get tougher from here for the Mustangs, I see around a .500 team maybe worse, but it certainly says a lot about the future, PT will dominate for at least the next 3 years,
  13. This says a lot about McCracken, this wasn’t a great game of football by either team but PT was certainly better today. McCracken will be really down this year, and could be the first year they officially lose District 1.
  14. The last 2 games played in the series McCracken was supposed to win, and PT obviously won both. Obviously McCracken is favored but I certainly cannot predict a blowout.
  15. I think this is exactly the right assessment, Graves definitely had more WOW plays in the game, but Mayfield owned the line of scrimmage, and that’s really what won them the game.
  16. Having the game so much later in the season would kill so much of the excitement and would really kill the crowd. This is always a sell out crowd.
  17. I see this being a low scoring game, a far cry from the 47-43 shootout we had last time these teams took the field.
  18. I agree really tough place for your first varsity start, I think it’ll be a little closer then usual 35-21 Cards.
