Logan County has had an amazing season. They are a solid football team and will not come into the game afraid. They will play hard from start to finish but unfortunately that will not be enough. Boyle County is a beast unlike they have seen (with all respect to South Warren.) Boyle’s weakness, if you can call it that, is in the vertical pass defense department but that’s not really Logan’s forte. In the end Boyle is way too much. Boyle 49 Logan 7.

Logan County at Boyle County next week for the chance to play for the 4A State Title.

Belfry will go to East Carter. Looks like Paducah will go to Glasgow.

Mayfield does not let you pressure their QB. If you blitz them, they will screen you unlike any screen game you (Green County) have seen all year. You have to have a physical running game and try to control the clock against Mayfield in these type of games and avoid giving them big plays for touchdowns. It’s just so hard to go into War Memorial at any time and come out with a win. Even harder during the playoffs.

Give me Larry French and Middlesboro. But I wouldn’t be shocked at either outcome.

I’m going with Russellville in a close one. 27-21.

I’m interested in Logan County vs Spencer County. Two teams making their first ever trips to the quarterfinals. A feel good matchup but both are well coached, solid football teams. This game won’t grab a ton of attention but for all the other reasons I think this will be a really good football game. The only bad news is the winner gets a trip to Boyle County next week for a running clock.

Definitely will be a blowout.

If that offer was committable i believe he would have done so on the spot. Good high school QB will make a fine NAIA QB and do really well. Especially after he wins his 2nd straight state title this year. Can’t blame the kid at all.
