Cutter Boley transfers to Lexington Christian Academy

Doubt this kid will be paying any tuition. -
Drew Davis transfers to Paducah.

The only PT question mark would be in the receiver and defensive back spots for this next year. Any idea who they have coming up in those spots? -
Caldwell Star OL/DL transferred earlier this spring to Paducah Tilghman. Rich get richer and this may put PT as the favorite in 3A.

Dakota Patterson Transfers to Boyle County

Easy decision football and school wise. No offense but would you rather play for a Haddix led offense or Corbin’s more run focused offense as a WR? -
Jonathan Smith Hired as Head Coach at McCracken County
WKY_Football replied to bugatti's topic in KY Football (High School)
I would think the Hopkinsville school would have a higher ceiling than McCracken county in 6A. But I agree with most of what you said. On occasional years they should or could make some noise but will not consistently challenge the big boys from Louisville in 6A. -

Final 4 North Oldham GRC Cov Cath Male. -
Great hire for Frankfort.

I would assume the leading candidates are currently on staff. Jonathan Smith (Ex Paducah HC) or Coby Lewis (Ex Trigg HC).

I think what Coach HB is saying is that an actual job search was conducted. Some of the big time guys said no so the powers at be moved on. -

Agreed. Clark was the best candidate after the other “Big” names said no thanks. I can see Clark’s structure being a big plus trying to navigate the waters of the unknown with combining two High Schools to play sports. -
Would rather have 25 with 7-8 studs lol. They gotta get those numbers up.

The scuttlebutt is they are going to combine teams in the Fall of 2023 in time for new KHSAA realignment. -
Didn’t hurt Craig Yeast. He got a better job at Mercer County HS as the head coach.

Man the 4th region sure is down this year besides BG & WC. Late 90’s and early 2000’s the 4th region was loaded with quality teams and even teams like Todd County has really solid squads making the regional final in 2002. Russellville was a problem as well as Barren County, Allen County, FS, Glasgow with Stockton were all threats at some point in time during those years.

Agreed this is a very long time for a job that has a shelf life of 10 months. I’ve also heard that they are considering opening the position back up. Not really sure what is going on in Hopkinsville/Christian County right now. -

Exactly. I’m still trying to figure out what the RPI is used for other than Football? Seems like it would be pretty simple to do, but what do i know. -

Christian County is in a really bad spot. At least the Hopkinsville job you can make a small run and win some games this coming season. Christian County is the exact opposite. -

For a 1 year job? That would make zero sense for anyone established to do unless they were promised the consolidated job. -
Manual promotes Donnie Stoner to head football coach.
WKY_Football replied to ReadOption's topic in KY Football (High School)
Coach Stoner is a class act. Ran into him a few years ago in my Louisville days and he knows his stuff. Go get em Coach. -

WKY_Football replied to Colonels_Wear_Blue's topic in KY Football (High School)
Not saying it will happen, actually a very low chance. But any coach coming in will probably retain a few assistants because this is HS not college and it’s virtually impossible to bring in an entire new staff. -

I could see a scenario where the consolidated school names a HC and then the Christian County HC (Gehres) could be the OC and the current Hopkinsville Interim HC (Lopez) who has been Clayton’s DC for years is named DC of the consolidated school.
