November football at War Memorial.. a mystical feeling and a special place. Last year this game saw Mayfield knock off what many considered the favorite of 2A as they picked off now UK QB Cutter Boley multiple times for touchdowns and completely dominate in the tune of 58-36.

The LCA Eagles are now winners of ten straight. They continue to run the ball behind that big O Line and dominate teams in the trenches. Their big wins this season come over Pikeville, CAL, Lex Cath, and Raceland. Unfortunately for them, they've only played one of those teams since September 20th. Will the district schedule end up hurting them?

Mayfield is coming off a 48-21 win over Caldwell County. They've not lost a game since Paducah much earlier in the season, and seem to be playing good football right now under first year HC Cliff Dew. There are plenty of weapons on offense with Josiah England, Mak Hoover, and Malik Kirby.

This should be a great game. Who pulls off the win?

Just heard on the news last night. In the last 20 years, Mayfield is 57-1 at War Memorial in the playoffs. I will take the home field advantage for the Cards. Should be a great high school football game and atmosphere. I will say Mayfield by 2 TDs.

I think it was Danville who beat Mayfield.

Been going back in my head and Danville beat Mayfield at home in 2003 so that was 21 years ago and the only one I can think of is Murray about  2 or 3 years ago in triple overtime.

The TP94 Power Ratings like LCA big:

Owensboro Catholic         91.17
Lexington Christian Academy         86.24
Beechwood         72.37
Mayfield              66.54

Well Calpreps likes Mayfield 31-28. Mayfield is playing good ball right now. Beechwood is praying LCA wins. ?

I don't like that the numbers between Calpreps and TP94 are that far apart.  Does anyone know what Massey says?

And snake, anything that has Beechwood AVOIDING Mayfield, LCA, and the number one ranked and probably unbeatable Owensboro Catholic Aces is music to my ears.

Yeah of course they are since the KHSAA RPI didn’t do them any favors!

Beechwood doesn’t like taking that drive just as much as you guys hate the drive to Ft Mitchell.

But Beechwood will end that streak one day down there it can’t go on forever.

It could end this year if they play.

Correct it could.  But, despite what wonderful hosts you guys are, I am guessing the Tigers prefer to stay home against LCA.

Yes. Murray in the 2nd round of 2020 covid season.

Massey has it 35-32 LCA. So on paper it seems like it will a close game except for TP94’s take.

I picked LCA to win. I wouldn’t consider it a surprise at all if Mayfield wins, especially being at War Memorial. Good luck to both teams.

If you like the rushing game, this is the game for you. LCA has rushed for 3,143 yards this year. Mayfield has a dynamic young RB in Josiah England. This shapes up as a very different game than last year's game.

This will be quite the challenge for Mayfield. Their rushing defense has been outstanding. Only four teams were able to rush for more than 100 yards against Mayfield - Graves County, Paducah Tilghman, Henderson County, Murray. Mayfield went 2-2 in those games. One of the wins was in double OT and the other was a last second come from behind win. LCA looks like a team built to win against Mayfield.

On the other side, LCA lost two games. In both losses they allowed over 230 yards rushing. LCA is allowing more than 100 yards rushing per game. Mayfield RB England may be the weapon to watch in this battle.

Mayfield will have to throw and run the ball in this game. If we can only run the ball we're in trouble. I'm hoping our speed will be a difference.
