  1. Way too many drops by the CCH receivers. That definitely needs to be reduced/eliminated for them to win this game
  2. Well, being completely objective, I would like to hear what Pulaski fans think. Would they rather have to play Fern Creek, Bowling Green, and Owensboro rather than Highlands or CovCath? I think they are quite happy they will only have to play one of the 3 teams mentioned versus just one of them for the title
  3. Pulaski has the easiest path to the finals. This will be a running clock
  4. This game will come down to which offense executes better and which offense doesn't turn the ball over. Both defenses played well last meeting. Covcath had at least 3 turnovers the first game while Highlands played with high percentage completions and zero turnovers. Both teams had some key players out the first time. That being said, I believe CovCath is the better team, but in a rivalry game, throw everything out the window. The team with the fewer mistakes wins. My prediction: Covcath 21-17
  5. I went to the CovCath game last Friday and that crew was from Morehead......they were the worst crew I have ever seen and should not ever be allowed to do a playoff game again
  6. 6A- no one. Male/Trinity winner will win it all 5A- CovCath and Fern Creek would be my sleeper picks
  7. I think Madison Southern will play CovCath very tough, but I think CovCath will pull away in the second half and win big. CovCath 40 Mad So 14
  8. Pulling for the Eagles, but I think Ashland wins this one by a couple of TDs. Scott should score some points, but I don't think they will stop them on Defense
  9. Scott has virtually played no one. SK will roll them badly. Kudos to Woolley for stepping up the schedule to play a cross county rival, but SK is light years ahead right now. SK by as many as they want
  10. No dog in this fight whatsoever and I only watched the 2nd half. I thought Conner outplayed Cooper. Cooper was saved by a bad pass interference call on the final drive. I also thought the refs let players, mainly from Cooper but I'm sure both sides were guilty of it, "chat" a bit too much throughout the game. I would like to see these teams meet again in the playoffs under decent conditions. Cooper seemed to be able to run the ball better, so I would expect them to win due to that fact. Conner needs to develop a run game to make a run deep in the playoffs, imo
  11. I think this is a two horse race between Pulaski and BG, but that's why they play the games. BG has a more difficult path imo
  12. Miss St, sorry for the confusion. The point is the same. Why would UK, UL, etc let talent in their own backyard get away. It's as if they don't think playing fball in KY for high school is worthy. I don't get it
  13. If he is good enough to get recruited by Ole Miss, where are all of the in state offers? Letting talent leave the state over the years has really bothered me being a fan of any of our Ky universities.
  14. CovCath by a lot this year, but Dixie will be really good next year, imo
  15. Siple will have his boys ready and this one will be a close game. I give the nod to Dixie, but it won't be easy. Grant is definitely moving in the right direction with Siple there
  16. Brossart has been a great story and an unbelievable year thus far. I really want to see Brossart win this game and keep the Cinderella story going. However, I think the winning streak comes to an end this week. Paris by 2 TDs
  17. Beechwood should be the favorite in every game they play from here on out, including the state championship
  18. I think CovCath should win this one, but they tend to make big mistakes that just make you scratch your head. If they turn the ball over against Highlands and blow coverages like they have to some of the other teams they have played, Highlands will win. That being said, I will predict a close one. CovCath 28-24
  19. I think Lloyd has some really impressive skill kids, but their line and play calling doesn't showcase how good they really are. NCC has advantage in the trenches and that is where games are won. I think this will be a close game much like the Holy Cross/NCC game last week. I think all 3 of these teams are pretty even. Lloyd could definitely win this game if they hit some big plays and limit Smith to big plays. That being said, NCC is top dog until somebody proves it. NCC wins 28-21........but I would love to be wrong here
  20. I have seen every Beechwood QB play since 1984. Stats are great, but the game has changed since '84. Most teams just lined up and pounded the fball. Hergott is the best QB to ever play at Beechwood. There have been QB's go thru there that could do some really nice things, but Hergott could do it all.
  21. I agree with you. That is their weakpoint, imo. You would think a former all pro NFL lineman would coach his line and make them better, but for some reason, that doesn't happen at HC. The skill positions might be a wash, or a slight edge to HC. The line play is a huge advantage for NCC and that is why I think they will win, not a blowout. As for 5 sacks, that is a pretty strong prediction. He is really good, but 5 sacks? I won't give him that many. Hamilton Scott is too good of an athlete to get sacked that many times. He may cause several hurried throws or the ball to bounce, but 5 sacks is too many to say
  22. Lloyd, not close either
  23. Close game, but Conner will be able to throw the ball so I give them the nod
