Not that at all! However, to say that Scott can beat someone like Beechwood or CovCath this year, beat someone on the same level as them and then I will hear the argument. Until then, they have improved drastically, but aren't there just yet. The win over NCC is fine, but you beat them without their best player who would've made a difference. The great thing about this argument is that we will find out soon when they play SK, Conner, or Bourbon

Well, they started playing each other in '07 just prior to the 6 class system. HC is 5-3 at this time. In '05 and '06, Lloyd only won 4 games each season and we would have to assume since they played common opponents, looking at the scores, HC would have won those as well due to Lloyd rebuilding at that point, much like HC has the last couple of seasons. The reason I said HC dominated them because in those 5 wins, HC won by a significant margin 4 out of 5. Where Lloyd has 3 wins and 2 of them were by less than a TD. HC didn't even start a team until 1999, so to compare a tradition rich program to an upstart program those first few years is kind of silly. I think both programs at his point are about even.

Scott also won a freshman championship a couple of years ago. I assume Scott is the best team in NKY with that logic

I will disagree with that statement. HC started having some very good teams in the mid 2000's. Their first team ever was 1999. When they did start playing each other, HC has many more wins. Lloyd has only beaten them 3 times ever. Short history or not, these two programs are trending upward at the moment and this will be a great game to see

Close game to call because both offenses will score. I think the spread will hurt JC more than the power run game will hurt LexCath. I will take Lexcath 42-35, but I won't be shocked with JC getting the win

Just because they play 2 6A teams doesn't mean they are good enough to step up to those two schools. Have they closed the gap, yes. Are they ready to beat either of those programs, no way

Yes Lloyd should consider HC a threat. Lloyd has had their number the last 3 years, but the history of the rivalry, HC has dominated. Lloyd has some really good skill athletes and I think their offense is pretty good. Their defense will give up some points though. HC and Lloyd will be a great matchup. Newport will get beat by both teams and it won't be close with either of them, imo. NewCath has played some good competition and haven't looked very good. The gap has closed, but until one of them beats NCC, I will always say NCC is the team to beat in 2A in NKY

No way Scott is #5 . They couldn't beat CovCath or Beechwood. Since Scott likes playing small schools, they should put Woolley's alma mater back on the schedule

Gonna be a tight one. Bellevue and Brossart were close matchups a few years ago. Brossart is getting back to that. Bellevue will have the edge being at home and have a good football tradition. They are well coached as well. I won't be shocked to see the Tigers win a competitive game, but I will take the Mustangs to win by 7

This will be a way better matchup for the Colonels than St. X. Sycamore should be the favorite, but I think this will be a good one

Yes, I think Paris will win this game. Since they are the smaller school, I assume it is an upset, but I agree with you, Paris winning might not be an upset now

I think both teams will play hard and this one will be very competitive. Neither team passes all that well, but I think HC passes more efficiently. I think HC will win a close one and shock the Bearcats

Eddie should, and I think will, be given a few years to get things going with his stamp on the program. This schedule was made prior to him being hired and by all accounts is extremely difficult. Wins and losses don't matter as long as the program is getting healthier and things are being done the right way. Eviston is a class act and he has some really good coaches to work with. This team may not win a state championship right away like he did at NCC, but I expect these kids to be taught the important things about life and football. I also expect this program to improve each year he is there

Scott averaged these points against small school competition over the last 3 years. Now that the schedule has been beefed up a bit, we will see how good they really are. Not putting any offensive points up against NCC is not a good sign initially. I hope they get back on track.

I think this game will be close for awhile, but I think Bryan Station will pull away late. They have superior athletes and an elite coaching staff.

Beechwood by alot

Well, I didn't say too much about Conner, for the very reason you just stated. Scott got them last year, so they might be able to do it again. As far as Beechwood goes, what makes you think Scott is better and can beat them? I may not agree with you on this one, but I'm not saying you are wrong. I'm just curious if you know some good info here

I have not seen them like you have so I will take your word for it. 7x7 do not mean much, but it does give you an idea of what teams will be able to do. It's just very difficult to ever count out Highlands. I actually hope you are right.

Has been a pretty tight battle the last few years. However, since more kids have come out for football with the Class change and redistricting, I think Brossart has some talent playing this year. I will go with the Mustangs in this one
