  1. I agree with you, but HC still put up big points against a pretty good Scott team, so that shouldn't be overlooked
  2. But they still were scoring in bunches on Scott where NCC did not. Many NCC fans said that missing Smith wasn't a big deal before the game, but now it is a big deal. Which one is it? I do believe it was a big deal and the outcome probably would've been different. HC still put up some points and its difficult to over look that in a head to head comparison
  3. True, the HC defense allowed many more points than NCC allowed versus Scott. That being said, HC also scored many more points than NCC did versus Scott. This game might be closer than you think.
  4. I went to the Covcath game against Columbus Desales. Covcath looks like they have a good deal of walking wounded. The strong schedule looks like it has taken its toll. I hope not, but that could be huge down the stretch For this game, I will say that Grant will put up a good fight because Siple will have his boys ready. He is a great coach and will put his kids in the right spot. That being said, CovCath should pull away and win a comfortably
  5. HC is much better this year than they have been the last few years. I do not think they are ready to beat NCC like they did in 2011, but I think they will put up a good fight. No running clock in this one. NCC 35 HC 14
  6. What are you basing this on? Ryle beat CovCath by 7. No other losses from NKY teams and beat a solid Beechwood team. I wouldn't say everybody else could beat them. Don't let the record fool you. What wins by the other teams 4-10 make you think they deserve to be ranked higher
  7. I think Holy Cross should be somewhere from 8-10 on this list
  8. Wow! 2 beating 11 is just silly. These 2 teams might actually meet up in the semis. If they do, can you ask Pulaski to only play 2 people on offense, since they can beat an entire defense from CovCath? Im sure CovCath won't mind
  9. Someone answer this for me. Boone has fallen to the point where they are horrible. Dixie is now rebuilding, but can't put together a freshman team. How did these schools end up where they are?
  10. HC is way better than they were the last 2years. Beechwood isn't as good as they have been the last couple of years. Saying that, it won't be 58-0 again, but Beechwood will still win this game by 3-4TDs. HC has some nice skill players, but they will not stop Beechwood's offense and the line play for Beechwood is way better. Even though HC has a former NFL offensive lineman as a head coach, he doesn't coach the O or D Lines for some reason. Beechwood has a former NFL lineman coaching theirs. BIG advantage Beechwood
  11. Yep, Beechwood won that game convincingly in Mike Yeagle's first matchup against his crosstown rivals
  12. Coach Burnett is the best, hands down! Cooper is extremely lucky to have him!
  13. I have seen both teams play this season. The line play is definitely better for Cooper. That is where ball games are won and lost. The skill players for LexCath are extremely athletic and will give Cooper problems. If Cooper eliminates the big play potential from LexCath, they win no problem. If LexCath skill kids make big plays, it will be a long night for Cooper. I think Cooper has a better defense than LexCath, along with better play in the trenches, that's why I believe they will win. It will be a hard fought game either way
  14. Cooper has a tough defense and will make it definitely tough for LexCath to score for a backup qb. I think Cooper wins by 14
  15. I think he is a really good receiver and one of the best in NKY. I think he could play on Saturday's at that position.
  16. I hope I am wrong, but reading the body language of the CCH kids, it's difficult to watch. Fball in NKY is better when these two teams get after it. Beechwood just seems to want to be great much more than the Covcath kids do at this point of the season. Covcath has a great coaching staff and I do believe they will change this perceived mind set, but it won't be overnight.
  17. I keep reading that this is a rivalry game. I think it might be a rivalry more so for Beechwood, but I'm not sure CovCath kids get amp'd up for this game anymore. I think Beechwood wants this game more and will do what they did last year, which is take it. I do not feel like it will be as close as people think. I think the Tigers are very fundamentally sound and CovCath is not. I think CovCath fball has been going downwards for years now and just isn't the same. I think it is more of a basketball school these days. Beechwood wins by 28 or more tonight. I wouldn't even be surprised if there is a running clock. I hope I'm wrong because NKY fball is better when both of these teams are good and compete at high levels. I just don't think CovCath fball competes anymore. Plus, this year, they have too many injuries to overcome their schedule
  18. I think this will be a good game, but won in the trenches for Scott
  19. The conversation that either coach has the other coach's number is ridiculous. Several more meetings will determine whether there is a conversation to be had, but after 3 meetings, come on
  20. I would love to see Cooper win this one, but SK is the best team in NKY this year and will not lose this one. SK 42-21
  21. Until Grant beats someone in NKY, I will not say they will be a factor against the teams in their district. Dixie is very young and probably will get better as the year goes on. Highlands and CCH is a toss up right now with both teams being down. Whomever has the fewer injuries when they meet is who I give the nod to. As of now, until someone beats Highlands, this is Highlands district
  22. CCH has too many injuries to compete against good teams right now. Beechwood is much better than people give them credit for. Also, Beechwood's offense is playing really well. Hergott is doing a great job. CCH's defense is not playing well. I don't think this game will be that close. Eviston's offense will have to score a lot of points to keep this one close. I think that CCH will score, but not enough to keep up with Beechwood. 42-21 Beechwood
  23. Highlands in a close one
  24. I am pulling for CCH here, but their defense is terrible and the offense is struggling. I think LexCath wins by a couple of TDs
