I would love to know the exact formula that calculates these ratings.

1-5 (5A) Covington Catholic 118.9

5-0 (6A) Manual 114.1

6-1 (6A) Trinity drops from 142.1 to 133.5 for showing mercy on Jeffersontown who rates at 63.7

I admittedly don't know much about the team but this has got to be a head scratcher. The only rationale I can think of is "Strength of Schedule" begs the question...

Are losses to top teams better than running clock wins over weak opponents?

We are mostly in district play now and can not always predetermine our opponent's success. Covington Catholic's SoS looks amazing when only considering each opponent's current lit-rating.

Trinity should never have been ahead of Male in the first place.

Yea I have no idea how those work. On some of those rankings there are teams ranked below teams that they beat...

Flawed system if you ask me.

SK at #2 ? Great poll. Love it.

Not sure that I agree but hey, nice to see my Pioneers getting some love.

I never agree with these rankings but they do make me think about some teams that may be better then the mass believes.

And, if Trinity beats X this week, it will most likely put them back in the 1 spot.

A win by X could move them up to the 1 or 2 line

Another good reason to only care about the BGP rankings.

As far as the Litratings are concerned, CovCath really is only 1-2. The three games against Ohio teams aren't factored.

Pulaski County isn't even in the top 20. Why would anyone pay attention to a poll that is only accurate at the end of the season. I don't need anyone's help at the end of the season.

Combined record of the three Kentucky teams Pulaski County has defeated: 2-14.

That's not going to impress a computer.

Pulaski would beat Cov. Cath by 21. I'm not sure that the QB and the WR Johnson by themselves vs. Cov. Cath's 11 defenders wouldn't be a toss up.

The Lit is just silly sometimes.

If you find a computer that CAN be impressed, let me know. Until then, color me unimpressed.
