  1. Is NCC really good or is Scott really bad?
  2. I saw no dirty play from either team. I saw two teams play hard with one team making more plays when it counted. Mistakes were evident, but dirty play? Sounds like u have an axe to grind
  3. I am not sure we were watching the same game if you think that is remotely true
  4. Both teams made several errors. I don't think the score was indicative of how the game went. Ryle is a bit better, but both need to improve if they want to be playing late in the year. Covcath needs to improve on D and learn how to finish drives. They moved the ball well on Ryle's D, so they can improve on execution. Ryle looked great on O and average on D. I expect them to get better as the season goes on and look forward to seeing them play SK. Good luck to both teams
  5. Congrats to him and to Union College! I thought he would be going somewhere bigger than NAIA. This kid is very good and I wish him good luck
  6. No EKY bias because EKY had some of their best teams this year. Pikeville deserved the 1A crown and they should be happy about that. Mayfield is a bad matchup for them. Pikeville wouldn't get blown out by any means and I loved watching them dig in and win their title, but Mayfield would be the favorite in that matchup
  7. Love this question. If you just did seeds, instead of a West and an East side based on location, then it gets tougher. 1/2A I like Mayfield and Desales, which could be a toss up. 3/4A is Belfry and SW, with SW getting the nod(I would love to see SW play Bowling Green and Pulaski). 5A/6A Male and Trinity are by far favorites, with no one else being that close
  8. You are correct. I posted before I read all of the other posts and just didn't feel like deleting it. I do think that he wasn't used effectively this year though. Maybe he wasn't a great fit in the offensive system, I really don't know. What I do know is that if he played for another team, he could've been one of the names in the state that everyone is talking about, not just NKY. I was very impressed with him as a junior. That kind of size and speed doesn't come around everyday at the RB position. Regardless of his grades, which are most important, that guy can play football and Union got a great football player
  9. Congrats to him. No disrespect to Union College, but I think this kid can play bigger than NAIA, but Ryle didn't showcase this kid's talent at all. I wish him luck and think Union got a great player that will hopefully let them compete in the MSC
  10. Chris Reisiger from CovCath was as good an offensive lineman as you would find in NKY. He played DLine some too because he was so big and physical. He is 6'2 and about 285 with good feet and great football mind Lawrence was a very good Defensive lineman from NCC this year
  11. I think there is no question that #1-3 are spot on.
  12. Recently, I will agree with you. Historically, no way. The dominance displayed over the last 10 years or so is just as dominate as Beechwood was in the 90's. 2 great football programs for sure that seem to be growing further apart at the present time and was not predicted. I think the landscape of NKY fball has changed so much that it is difficult to have year to year dominance like Highlands, NCC, and Beechwood are used to.
  13. Make your case then that Shelby Co is #2, since I assume that is what you dislike so much. As for Scott being #2, it took a hail mary for JC to beat them with no time on the clock. Scott won that game for 47min and 59sec. JC was very lucky to come away with that win. Scott beat a very good Ashland team as well. So, please state your case why this list is not close
  14. 1. Bowling Green 2. Pulaski Co 3. Owensboro 4. Highlands 5. Covington Catholic 6. Fern Creek 7. North Laurel 8. Christian Co 9. Greenwood 10. South Oldham
  15. 1. South Warren 2. Scott 3. Johnson Central 4. Ashland 5. Shelby Co 6. John Hardin 7. Hopkinsville 8. Spencer Co 9. Wayne Co 10. Franklin Simpson
  16. I would love to see Fern Creek win this. However, is see BG winning easily
  17. Covcath made too many mistakes and turned the ball over too many times to beat a good team in the playoffs. Highlands played mistake free football and deserved to win
  18. I'm on the fence between Blueboys and Birds or Scott and Johnson Central? I know what I will see in Ft Thomas, not sure if Scott can pull this off or not and I am really pulling for them
  19. I think Fern Creek is a very hot team right now and a tough out for anybody in 5A. I will take Fern Creek in a tough one by 14
  20. Henry Clay wasn't a bad game on paper. Other than that, I totally agree with you. They haven't played their caliber competition. Pulaski is very good and will be in the state championship game, imo, but when they get there, they will have their hands full.
  21. Why would you say they would outthink themselves?
  22. I would love to see the Eagles win. However, JC is a physical bunch and will be difficult for the Eagles to stop. Both teams are one dimensional, so I doubt there will be a bunch of scoring. I will take JC by 14
