Covington Catholic at Highlands Predictions

Covington Catholic at Highlands Updates

Just in....it's the playoffs and Highlands wins. Move along. Nothing to see here like every other year.

Congratulations to the Birds on advancing to the semis.

I thought the Birds looked pretty tough tonight.

With Pulaski and NL playing about equal you have to like the Birds chances next week if you are a Highlands fan.

Looking forward to repping my Highlands gear to Finkies tomorrow morning

Thought CCH had some momentum down 13-7 in the 3rd when they had a nice run by the frosh McGinness well into HHS territory negated by a hold. Next play they fumbled and the Birds took advantage. Definitely not the same Highlands team I saw in August.

HHS better athletes and better coaching. That my friends is a recipe for success. CCH really needs to develop their passing game for next year. AJ throws a great ball, but just seemed to me all year the coaches would not take the training wheels off. HHS has gotten so much better since the first meeting, just so much more fundamentally sound then CCH.

Great game by #10 for the Birds.

Wow Highlands won! So exciting!

Wow Highlands won! So exciting!

It's like a beautifully broken record, isn't it.

Maybe, just maybe the Highlands coaches know what they are doing. The question is if CovCath couldn't get them this year, do they ever beat them again?

Watched game On line. Last time I saw the Birds was against Scott Co. Totally different animal 10 weeks later. Wouldn't count the Birds out. Nice win tonight!

I want to give some props to Hergott. That kid has taken a lot of heat this year and I thought he played very well tonight. I cannot remember a really bad pass. He should have had another long one at the end of the first half that Miller dropped on about the 5 yard line - the throw was great. Also, Daugherty was just a weapon in the kicking game. Every kickoff (and they kicked off ALOT) went to the end zone except one that went right to the goal line. Three FG's (the 44 yarder would have been good from 54) and very solid with his punting. My buddy does the stats for HHS. He told me Kendall had 222 yards rushing - the vast majority had to be in the second half.

BTW, I don't want to sound like I am ripping Miller for dropping the pass. He played a great game and just flat abused the CCH corner trying to cover him all night.

Groundhog Day. Go Birds, get it done next week.

Man, #10 is a weapon for the Birds. Nice defender, plays with an edge, and a HUGE foot.
