The game will be played 9-4-2015 at Lexington Catholic in the first game of a two year contract. Who do you think wins and why?

Lex Cath has a lot of weapons. They can get up the field quickly. Don't know much about JC but I like what I seen on the field against Ryle.

JC is big and physical on both lines. This should be a classic game between two opposing styles.

Johnson Central has always played well against power teams, only to struggle against the top tier passing teams in the deep playoffs. This should be a good ball game and I actually mistakingly picked Johnson Central on the poll. Just got a hunch that Lex Cath's passing game gives JC some trouble.

JC 21

Two teams that should attack each other's weaknesses

LexCath looked REALLY soft against the run in the Ryle game... Johnson Central is very good at running the ball.

Johnson Central is a very good defensive team but their biggest weakness is against the Spread and teams that can keep them off balance.

This one is a tossup but I am leaning with the physicality and lineplay of Johnson Central.

A Tyler Pack Field Goal proves the difference.

JC 30

LexCath 28

Sounds like JC has the best kicker in the state, does he put it in the endzone everytime, if he does that will neutralize a part of Lex Catholic speed.

With Johnson Central's ability to control the line of scrimmage and slow down the flow of the game Lex. Cath. will want to score quick to attempt to make JC play from behind. Hard for a running team to play catch up and take long time consuming drives. This could be the best game in the state and I look for it to be an interesting contest. Pulling for the Eagles.

Best of luck to both teams.

I would say he puts 95% of all his kicks in the endzone (misses probably 3 or 4 a year). More impressively he puts about 50% of them through the goal post or out of the back of the endzone.

I still can't figure out how JC misses so many XP conversions or Field Goal attempts like they do where either they can't even get the kick off or it is blocked.

Pack is automatic... from 50 yards in he is going to be good and almost guaranteed points if the kick gets off. Yet JC seemingly gives up a ton of blocked kicks or bad snaps.

It reminds me of baseball managers mad at Pitchers for walking guys trying to bunt.

"THEY ARE GIVING YOU AN OUT"

Johnson Central has literally taken points off the scoreboard for a very simple thing.

For what it's worth, Calpreps is calling this one Johnson Central 31, Lexington Catholic 26. I feel like whether Johnson Central or Catholic wins, the points will be close to what is projected.

Close game to call because both offenses will score. I think the spread will hurt JC more than the power run game will hurt LexCath. I will take Lexcath 42-35, but I won't be shocked with JC getting the win

Very true. From what I have seen the timing is off. Pack generally waits to start his motion until the ball is placed on the ground. One of those small technical problems that leads to blocked kicks. I can offer no explanation for why this is the case, put Tyler rarely misses when the kick gets off.
