Though this post has it's sarcastic value as a dig at the EKY fans who love talking about "How hard those EKY teams hit"...

 

In a way you are underselling JC a bit. They are one of the more physical teams in the state and usually one of the hardest hitting defensive teams you will find.

 

With that said, if Jones is fully cleared there should not be an issue.. but if I am the LexCath staff and see him take a couple shots in light of last week it might not be a bad idea to lighten his load in a game that is nothing more than bragging rights instead of risking a significant injury that may effect games that do matter.

I dont agree with it... I think if the kid is cleared to play and wants to play you let him. Plus you wat your best back getting valuable snaps against a good physical run defense. It does have a little merit though especially if Jones did end up taking a few shots early on.

Concussions are definitely no joke. He passed the test and he is going to play. I think LexCath is attacking through the air tonight. The biggest task tonight is keeping the quarterback upright. If he has time to survey and get comfortable I love LC's chances.

You know, it's really tiring to hear the word "soft" thrown around so much when talking about Lexington Catholic's defense. We've never been a defensively sound team. As I believe Northerner said earlier, the Knights bend, but don't break. I'm sorry that Lexington Catholic doesn't have access to monstrous mountain players to load their defense up with, but I think they do just fine all things considered. Not every team is going to be the '85 Bears defensively. Sorry for ranting, but that just struck a nerve with me.

 

With that being said, I believe whoever gets the ball last wins this one. Hopefully that's the Knights. Should be a good one.
