Conner must be playing well.

Conner did play well, but the weather was quite a factor in this game. Cooper also played without TCA at RB and Marcus Watson. Good rivalry game in crap weather

Two very good football teams and Cooper made one more play at the end to win it. As long as these two teams take care of business in the first round of the playoffs, they will meet again in the second round of the playoffs with that game being at Cooper.

Conner has impressed me these last two weeks. Even though both games were losses for Conner, they were much more competitive than I thought they would be.

I guess now is the time the thread that says Cooper and Conner cannot play and be competitive on the 6A level needs to be revised. I watched this game on TV and both teams played well in bad conditions. I congratulate both teams on a great season.

I don't think anyone has said that they can't compete in 6A. I do think people have said Cooper would have a chance at a state title in 5A and they have no chance at one in 6A. That is the point I have seen made.

Again, Cooper wouldn't win 5A this year either. Especially with no TCA. Pulaski and BG are just too good which is why I laugh whenever I read what a huge mistake it was to move up to 6A. Stupid argument all the way around. HHS and CCH aren't going to win 5A either yet they go unchecked through this stupid debate.

One correction: No downpour on the FG. Winds were blowing across the field but no rain. Rain started HARD after the FG. Fortuitous.

True. Both teams hurt themselves with penalties. Was another classic game by those two teams. Reminds me of Browns Bengals games of the 80's. No matter how good one team was and how down the other team was they always had nail biting games. Just builds the rivalry even more. It was Cooper's payback for the 2013 game.
