Big district game this Friday, who wins, by how much, and why?

Paris had their wakeup call last week. Paris by 14.

Brossart has been a great story and an unbelievable year thus far. I really want to see Brossart win this game and keep the Cinderella story going. However, I think the winning streak comes to an end this week. Paris by 2 TDs

The Nicholas County games make me think Brossart has a chance. Before Paris played Nicholas County last week, I thought this would be a 3 TD win for Paris. Now it looks like a tossup.

Paris by 2 scores at mininum. 28-7 is my guess.

Brossart is a smart team. They don't make many mistakes and they make you pay when you make mistakes. Pferrman (sp), takes what the defense gives him and doesn't over think the situation. Moore can out run anyone on the field and has above average catching ability. The backfield plays with speed and power running which gives Coach Wiggins multiple options. Key in this game will be line play, who gets to the spot faster. Brossart has suprised everyone, but after this week they will not surprise anymore with a win.

Nothing against Paris...but GO MUSTANGS!!!! I'm jumping on the band wagon. Great story and Coach Wiggins is one of my boys!!!

I think Paris will win by 10, but would love to see Brossart pull the upset.

Is this the last 1A undefeated regular season matchup?

If so I believe there is only the possibility of 2 teams ending RS undefeated correct?

This is the last district game for Paris (8-0). Brossart (7-0) has Berea remaining in district play.

Paris had their wakeup call last week. Paris by 14.

This concerns me. IF Paris had an off night, or still has another gear, we will catch them at the top of their game in their backyard. If Nicholas County took the Hound's best shot, then I like our changes of being able to compete with them.

Being 7-0 and finding ways to win over and again, we still haven't discovered just where our ceiling is. I'm sure that there are better teams than Brossart out there. If it's Paris so be it. As previously stated we are a fundamentally sound football team with good football players at each skill position. Our line has been solid all year. If we play at the top of our game and Paris beats us, then they will have beaten a good football team.

IF the Mustangs can once again go out there, play a solid 48 minutes of on both sides of the ball and come away with a win, we will once again marvel at the accomplishments and resolve of this team (and celebrate deliriously).

IF Brossart still has a rabbit in the bottom of our bag of tricks, this would be a great time for it to appear.

I still find it unfathomable that we are actually playing for a district title Friday night. Last July this program was in shambles. Thanks to Coach Paul Wiggins and some valiant Mustangs who stuck with, or came back to football, they allowed the program to survive, and to experience the success we now enjoy. Last year at Awards Night, Coach Wiggins issued T-Shirts to the guys that read "Expect More." These guys have surely delivered on that promise.

Brossart should have a shot because Paris really does not have a signature win either over a non-1A team. Sure their wins have been by impressive margins except for last week. Both beat Ludlow for probably their best win and the margins there were not that out of line. Holmes is not stellar and Frankfort was not the same as in past years so those Paris wins are not that impressive. Game being in Paris will be tough for Brossart but not impossible.

The Paris result against Nicholas County leaves me very conflicted with how to pick. On the other side, I believe that Brossart has progressively gotten better as the season has continued. Tough pick, definitely pulling for the Mustangs though.

Frankfort was a top 10 team at the time before they were crushed with injury. Nicholas was a rivalry game, and the Jackets have gotten better every week. Paris will be playing the best 2 teams on the schedule the last 2 games of the regular season which will get the Hounds ready for the playoffs. District 5 has the unenviable task of going through the Super District 6. So who ever wins Friday gets a slightly easier road to Bowling Green.
