  1. Henry graduates, his brother Eddie will be a junior.
  2. Great to have him back at BW if the rumor is true, don't know him personally, but have many friends who played under him....never a bad word said about the man.
  3. To echo everyone else, sad news, but not unexpected. Prayers to the family, I cant imagine the pain they are suffering. Had a close relative with similar issues, was sent to jail for 9 months, no one bailed him out....he had a passionate hatred for us for about the first 3 months, then started to figure it out. He has been clean and sober for 4 years now.....says jail saved his life. Hope they administer tough love to give the young man a chance.
  4. I think you have to give the nod to SK, Ryle is obviously much improved, but SK has built a heck of a program, to be the man you have to beat the man....until that happens SK is the king of the hill.
  5. You are correct, his grandfather was a legend, if I'm not mistaken Chuck got a start in the Daytona 500 in the late 60's, at least that is what I am told. Good family.
  6. Good to hear he is doing well, always thought he might catch on with an NBA team, but it looks as though he has carved out a nice life playing in Europe.
  7. I think Brayden will be fine, nice arm, good touch, he will grown into the role and play well IMO.
  8. Could not agree more...the young man just gets it, football IQ is off the chart. I hope they can find a good fit on defense for Eddie Erdman, kid plays with reckless abandon, not sure if he is better suited for LB or a 1 technique. I do know he is fun to watch.
  9. That number is huge, good for SK, over the past decade it seems as though SK has transitioned from a basketball dominant school to, dare I say it, a football dominant school. They are poised to be the best team in NKY 6A for a while.
  10. They have a lot to replace after heavy losses to graduation. Very good freshmen class coming up, they will be young, but come playoff time the sophomores that are going to have to contribute will be well seasoned.
  11. Nice win for BW, when is the last time BW made it to the 9th region tournament?
  12. So sorry to hear the news...I like many others on this site had the displeasure of playing against Boone County back in the day, they were physical, disciplined and of course well coached. One got one win out of three tries and consider myself fortunate to have that memory. I remember the first game as a sophomore playing against Boone, looking over at coach Hauck, he had a menacing look on his face, darn near scared me half to death! After the game he could not have been a nicer person...an impression on a sophomore that has lasted until this very day. Had the opportunity to speak with him a few times after my playing days were long over...first class gentleman. RIP coach
  13. Good for Tanner, I hope he makes the best of his situation. Anything to get out in front of scouts is a win IMO. Good luck to him.
  14. I think I was pretty good at taking a charge back in the day, I can assure you, if CW was bearing down on me I would be opening the gate like St. Peter....come on in, no way I'm getting run over by that freight train.
  15. Wow, that was truly a great post, I completely understand your feelings about Pitino, but unlike most other ardent UK fans you actually feel for the players who are being penalized for doing nothing wrong.
  16. 49ers, beat the Bengals twice in the Super Bowl, plus I never like Jeff Garcia.....he married a playboy playmate for the love of goodness!
  17. Am I missing something? Earlier in the year when BW was rolling I recall seeing the name Lloyd in the box scores, every time I looked it seemed as though he was scoring 10+, haven't seen his name in a while, is the kid injured? Seems like his absence has hurt the team.
  18. Problem is they always seem to find their way back
  19. Agree with both of the above posts, NAIA and DIII are notorious for bringing in 50-60 kids each class, of that only about 25-30% go all the way through their senior year. The football is good, the young men usually bust their butt's, but they are truly playing for the love of the game....not much glitz and glamour at either level. I admire the kids who stick it out.
  20. Can't blame him, an opportunity to work in Saban's system has been beneficial to many assistant coaches. Good luck to him, as one post said, good coach and a good man.
  21. Congrats to all five young men, a huge honor and all are more than deserving.
  22. I don't have a dog in this fight, but Matt Jones is a tool.
