I cant disagree with your point, the only fear would be that UK would find an up and comer like Illinois did with Beckman....that didn't work out very well. UC's track record with Kelly and Jones speaks for itself.

No argument there, but coordinating special teams is a difficult task, you have to deal with every player on the roster, not just offense or defense. I would say from a coordination and organizational standpoint special teams coordinators are second only to head coaches IMO. I think it is a good hire, been with Butch for a number of years and being at a resurgent Tennessee is icing on the cake. Fan of the EKU program, wish them nothing but the best.

Jon Harbaugh was a special teams coach when he got the call from the Ravens, that worked out pretty well.

The book chronicling the Army-Navy game is called "A Civil War" I believe, I have read three of his books and am on a fourth, have to say I like his work. He is anti NCAA and big business college sports. I do completely agree with him on the kid from Navy, should have been invited.

I agree, the young man being 19 means nothing to the outcome of the game, he is a fine player. Is he going to play college ball somewhere? If I missed it earlier sorry.

Great point, this years BW freshmen class reminded me a lot of the senior class that just played for a state championship when they were freshmen. Of course all teams go through the rebuild / reload process, BW will be fine.

Have to agree with VOR, Slusher from BW has to get some consideration, not to take anything away from the other fine BW players, but Slusher has put this team squarely on his back and they are in the finals. Not sure if he will win, but I know if I started a team he would be my first pick to build around.

Got to go with Mayfield in this one, as I said before, they are still the king till someone dethrones them, I don't see that happening in the championship game.

I for one would love to see Bellarmine start up a football program, as with Thomas Moore and Mt St Joe have in NKY and Cincy, they have enough talent in greater Louisville to feed a successful program. Hope it happens

I'm pretty sure I've eaten there before, good stuff if memory serves me correct. Would love to eat there on Friday, but have a long haul college game to attend to on Saturday, is there any live feeds for the game Friday night, would love to log in and at least listen.
