State Finals games.....

120 miles give or take a few from BG to Louisville. Granted it's all on the interstate, unless you are in a high speed police chase for the whole ride, you're looking at an hour and 45 or so trip on average.

I65 is usually a snarl from Louisville until you pass E-town. That will normally add at least 30 minutes to any drive down there.

I don't care if three of us went down there. We don't get the money from the game, so whatever. If the KHSAA wants more people to go to the 6A game, it'll come back to the Pizza Box, if not, no worries.

Actually the University of Louisville holds the cards if it is to go back to the pizza box. They are still playing football and can't commit the stadium.

Which is a good reason to keep it in BG now. My reasons for wanting it in Louisville are more selfish than anything else. I like the venue in BG, I prefer PJCS but that is just me.

Understand ya, heck I would love it if they could play it at the University of Cincy. I know that would never happen but it would be great if I only had to drive 10 minutes. I also love the BG venue. It doesn't matter if they played in Timbucktoo, I would be there.

The stadium size is nice, the parking is great, I dont mind the 3.5 hr drive but the management team at WKU is a joke.

I have a major problem with the lack of police, not allowing parents fans and family get to the kids after the game to celebrate or console.

How hard would it be for WKU to designate locations for each team to congregate after career ending games for most?

I understand they are new to this, but lets use some common sense.

I also dont appreciate being "kicked out" of the stadium immediately after the game to allow the other teams to get in. Is this about the schools, the kids or the money? I got a pretty good idea tonite.

Yeah they could of used the 6 or so extra police that escorted Bowling Green's team to the stadium. I quite honestly thought President Obama was showing up to watch the Purples. I liked it!!! I'm sure the escort would of been delayed if that little debacle with the HHS's student section would of gotten out of hand towards the end of the game.

5A is the marquee game for these championships in terms of attendance. You know, hometown team? Bowling Green is going to bring the house for that one.

A little confused why there wasn't at minimum 10,000 fans at the Bowling Green/Anderson Co game. Bowling Green High School is a stone's throw away with a beautiful night to boot and they can't at least put that number in the stands. Man I wish NKY had that luxury.....

Wow. I don't remember that. No wonder we never went to the other games.

Yeah I even had to have a spirited discussion with a on field Security(helper):laugh:to move out of the way so I could get a picture of my 2 nephews together oh about 10-11 minutes following the game. He wouldn't move out of the way. He kept standing in front of them because he said it was time to leave. I wonder if there is some kind of WKU tobacco policy for administration because this good ole boy had a chew in that could of chocked Barbaro..... Shortly after that as we made our way to the top of the 1st level stands we had another Security(helper) tell the large group of HHS fans to "Get Out"!!!! It was a "Wow" moment that for sure.

Well, I guess while we are on it, KHSAA lost money on HHS fans because after being tossed out of our seats a "mini protest" took place at the souvenior table where at least 40 to 50 stood. As the line was forming and overflowing with potential cash buyers a Highlands booster shouted to the crowd to take their business back to Ft Thomas and support the Highlands Athletic boosters instead of the KHSAA. Wow, you want to talk about somebody "excusing themselves" sheepishly and a crowd running like an egg bomb went off. LOL

These are the types of incidents that are a direct result of the way Highlands was treated after that great State Championship day. Not good business imo.
