Whats misleading about... It's a historic new tax and it is in the bill and it includes all real estate transactions, not just homes....

On a very select few. You made a post last night saying that when "folks" sell their home they would be taxed at 3.8%. It is misleading that you said folks, unless by folks you mean people who own homes/real estate that sell and have a PROFIT that exceeds $500,000.00 for a married couple, of which only the portion of profits that exceeds $500,000.00 will be taxed. Those folks aren't your average American and are a very very small percentage of the population.

No matter how the right wants to mislead, tell half truths or down right lie the Health Care Reform bill is a good thing and will benefit all Americans in the long run. All Except for a very few very rich folks and they break pretty much even.

Sorry but that simply isn't true. The majority of Americans have health insurance. So how is this bill going to benefit the majority of Americans? I will only agree with you if you can prove to me this bill will do two things...

1. Lower my premiums without affecting my coverage.

2. Not increase anyones taxes.

It is called fear-mongering. It is not unique to one side, but this is a classic example of it.

Actually it may very welll hurt a very large segment of the 80 plus percent who already have health insurance and who will see fewer options and increased premiums.

Unlike the fewer options and increase premiums that we have been seeing for the past 10 years?

You guys act like this is something new. Premiums have been going up and services down since I started getting health insurance in 1991. The last 5 years have been the worst. Are you suggesting the increase in costs and decrease in plans will outpace what was already happening?

Spin it any way you like... It does not change the FACT that ObamaCare includes federal sales tax for the first time in history... People just want something handed to them.. They don't care who's back it comes off of... Just keep soaking the rich... Don't forget that the rich supply the jobs... Keep soaking them and watch more jobs disappear...

As I look at the wealth distribution charts I don't see any of the rich getting soaked. I see the wealthy amassing more wealth and the buying and spending power of the middle class decreasing and the number of poor increasing. Who do you claim is getting soaked?

It amazes me how the rich have so many not rich defenders when the middle class keeps getting the short end of the stick. Rich supplying the jobs is one of the already disproven tenants of Regan trickle down economics. Meanwhile back at the ranch...http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2010/09/28/AR2010092800465.html?hpid=topnews

Household incomes shrank for the second year in a row in 2009, as the recession eroded the share of American families earning over $100,000 and swelled the ranks of people who are poor or just barely making it.

Rich people already have a disproportionate level of influence and power with elected officials but convincing so many in the masses that what is good for them is good for everyone is truly amazing.

It will benefit them by not being dropped when they do get sick, it will benefit them from having a maximum cap if they get a major illness and being told, well it's time for you to die. Why do what's right as long as you are happy with your coverage right? Your premiums were being raised and coverage lowered long before HCR but who cares about that. Your premiums would have lowered and your coverage level would have increased had the public option been included but I digress no one wanted "socialist government run health care".
