What did you give up for Lent?

Thought it would be fun to hear what evryone gives up for Lent. Candy, Pop, T.V., Eating Between Meals, lets hear what everyone does.

There's a thread about this in general discussion, but we could use this one to get an update on how everyone is handling week 1.

 

Still no Taco Bell or soft drinks for me. It's been rough, especially the Taco Bell, walking by it every weekday to and from school, and driving by it to and from work, always during a meal time.

I'm doing great so far; gave up all sweets, all snacks for the duration of lent and alcohol during the week.

The first Friday of Lent I was sitting there eating a hamburger and I realized what I was doing - well gripe oh - since I was already half way through the hamburger, I decided to finish it.:sssh: :sssh:

 

What I think I'll give up for Lent is Latin. No being raised a Catholic, I am having a hard time with all the Latin that our church is using during Lent. No only do I not know what they are saying, I can't even follow it on the handouts they give you.:irked: But I just betcha by Easter I will have mastered it:thumb:

I'm not Catholic, but I have a few things I need to give up. Maybe I could use this time, when my Catholic friends are making those sacrifices to take those steps to give up my "vices".

Swearing and on certain days certain people in my family. Neither is going very well.
