Highlands 2 Scott 0

Highlands has the ability to be a very good team... I hadn't heard Rawlings being that good, but if he held Beechwood to a couple runs, then Highlands has two very good pitchers...

Oh he is a really good pitcher, I am not denying that.

Nice win for the Birds. That being said, The flop play that BW impliments is only used in close ball games. To do that in a 11-2 game is pretty bush. I'm sure BW will be hoping for a rematch.:fight:

Maybe thats why Bob was so mad? :thumb:

I had to leave, missed the bush league antics.

He was not happy to say the least, I will be the last one to blame any loss on the officials, but the inning they scored 7 runs in should have never happen, but the ump behind the plate missed a call that put a kid on first, then with one out bw turned a double play, that was not called...after that if hit the roof.

And for everyone who wants to talk about games that they didn't see, all that happened was HHS was up 11-2 and ran a flop play with a kid on 3rd and 1st, and the kid on third scored. It was a classless act, and unless you were there to see it...................dont talk about it.

And DD, Beechwood does not run up any score. All the games you are referring to was mostly done with JV players. I dont come on here and talk about your team when I dont have a clue what I am talking about, so I expect you do the same. If you want to talk about somebody...please do some research.:sssh: :sssh:

So Holmes was a more imporntant game then the wood bat tourney...you pitched Chris in that game. And Newman was good enough to start against Cov Cath....why didn't you throw the kid that needed a letter there. As far as your JV players running up the score on your last six or seven opponents...thats not what the box scores say sir.

The flop play is when you have runners on first and third an the runner on first attempts to get caught in a rundown allowing the runner at third to score before the out is made at first. Highlands apparently used it to save innings and pitchers and BW took it as running up the score.

I really do not see it as bush in this situation. It's not like HHS was playing a weak team and trying to demoralize them. They were playing a very good team that does have the potential to come back and win. This is high School baseball. A 9 run lead in the 5th is not always that confortable, especially when the competition has the ability to put up runs in a hurry which BW obviously can do.

It's obvious that the BW fans can't stand to lose to HHS no matter how meaningless the game may be and are using the flop play as a crutch to complain.
