Ferguson officer shot

Sounds like he's going to be okay. That's good. Also doesn't sound like it had anything to do with protests or anything' date=' that's good too. It could get really messy if they started targeting officers. Hopefully it is an isolated incident.[/quote']

Just because it wasn't during looting doesn't mean it did not have anything to do with the Michael Brown situation. You're making an assumption.

True. But nothing in the article made it sound like the officer was targeted. It sounded like he was into something and ran when he was confronted. I was just relieved to read that it wasn't directly related to protests. That could get really bad if it goes that direction.

Apparently an off duty police officer in Ferguson was the victim of a drive by shortly after this. Luckily they didn't hit him only his vehicle.

Also protestors showed up at the Ferguson police department after the first one was shot in the arm.

The second shooting sure sounds like targeting of officers. This could get really, really bad.

This shooting may not have had anything to do with the riots, but don't think for a minute there would not have been another if this police officer had shot the guy who shot him. I'd hate to be an officer in Ferguson now and any time in the future.

Yes, if he had shot the man they are currently looking for the fact that he shot the police officer as he was fleeing wouldn't matter. There would be more protest and likely riots.

So white officer shot Michael Brown, it was automatically assumed racism. This officer shot by a black male and you don't think there's any correlation because the article didn't tell you it was related. Got it...

The article said he was running from the officer and firing his pistol as he was doing so. Nothing about the information presented in the article makes it sound as anything other than someone that didn't want to be arrested. In the second incident it sounds like they intentionally sought out an officer and shot at him. Maybe the first incident was as well but you'd think he would have tried to ambush the officer instead of waiting to be confronted and shooting while running away. Regardless, it sounds like it could get really bad in Ferguson.

Anyone that would shoot an officer has no regard for the law. Period.

He's lucky he was only shot in the arm. Where is the public outrage for an officer being shot?

Where's Big Al and Jesse? It has to be racism that the officer was chasing the suspect that shot him.

The media and the majority of citizens don't care about LEO's. It's what the cops signed up for.
