Depends on who is drafting and what they need. Nearly all of the horrible teams need a QB to build around. Young may be a better player, but he may not be what they need.

He is definitely that caliber player. I think a QB will be taken first and probably second as well, but that is no indictment whatsoever on Young.

Bengals are too stupid to take the best player in the draft.

Young is a generational talent. I don’t think any of the top QBs are near that level. Even if there is a need at QB for the top pick, I think you take the generational talent. Rushing the passer is every bit as impactful as a serviceable but not great QB.

Great post! The best case scenario will be that Ryan Finley plays great and shows they found a diamond in the rough, but yet they still lose most of the game because of the defense sucking. This way they still have one of the top picks. Then that could put them in a spot where they could take Young.

I am afraid the Bengals take Tua. We always take the injured player.

Not me unless Finley balls out and shows he can be that franchise qb. As VOR showed in his post. Teams who have a stud pass rusher, but average to bad qbs still don't do anything.

So unless Finley balls out to end this season. Or there is a qb the Bengals like the best that they think they could get later in the 1st round by trading back up after taking Young. If none of that happens, then no thanks get that franchise qb while you can.

Miles Garrett another former top pick sure hasn't helped the Browns win anything so far either.
